Images of some seriously unusual looking accessories made by Joytech have surfaced. Most interesting of these is a recharging station for the Wiimote, which seems to be powered by USB (is that possible?).
Joytech USB Wiimote Recharger.
Sports accessories for the Wiimote.
Wiimote grip for horizontal use.
Wiimote and Nunchuk covers.

Awesome. I'm getting the Wiimote grip and Wiimote Recharger. Maybe that Wiimote Sport thing.

Usb chargers already exist.

Yes charging via USB is possible and I believe it will plug into a usb port on the Wii. This is a very welcome accessory seeing as there currently is no way I know of to recharge the remotes. The steering wheel is also a nice accessory, I think it shows innovation and could make driving and racing games even more engrossing. Now I personally am not sure about the golf club and tennis, this just seems like overkill to me. Where the steering wheel completely changes your grip of the controller to simulate a steering wheel, the golf club and tennis racket do nothing to change how you hold the remote and use it; it's just cosmetic. But hey whatever increases your enjoyment of the gameplay experience.

Those are really good. Especially the horizontal one. Yes it is possible to charge with USB, iPods do.

The only one I find useful is the charger.

Very cool, will probably get the wiigrip thing. But what about a flightstick? Come on, the Wii just screams for a flight sim.

Alright, chargable Wiimotes. I like their thinking. I just hope they don't DELAY any of this like they have with basically everything cool about the Wii.

Yes! A charger is what I really wanted.
theDancingPenguin said:
The only thing wrong with the charger is that didn't Nintendo say that it couldn't be recharged? I was under the impression that it would run on batteries and nothing else. Also, in the picture, it shows the battery and battery cover off. I wonder if that has any relevance to how you use it.
Master Foot said:
The charger looks like the most useful. Nintendo should have released that instead of using disposables. Joytech is making their own batteries.
Milkman844 said:
The recharger is definitely useful, but you could just buy any AA battery charger instead. And the grip looks pretty good. It would be so much more comfortable with palm rests.

The only thing I want out of there is the charger. Everything else I'll pass on.
googoodolls said:
Any idea on how much the charger will cost? I'm guessing around $30-$50, but hopefully lower.

A charger will charge the wiimote? That's flippin' sweet! I will play my Wii forever.
mash said:
The recharger is definitely a good idea. And it looks like the charge unit is the same size and shape as 2 AA batteries. Freakin sweet.
Vortex said:
It is possible to charge with the USB. In the back of the Wii there are 2 USB Ports, so you just have to plug it in to the back of the Wii.
theDancingPenguin said:
However, Nintendo has not stated what exactly the USB ports can be used for except for a LAN adapter for internet. I'm not sure if they will make that possible, but it really would make a lot of money.

Yeah, both my MP3, my mobile phone and my brothers MP3 all charge through our computers usb ports, it's handy. Now since my ps2 has become obsolete, I keep it under my bed so I can charge them from its usb ports. Much respect for the site, keep up the support in comments and reviews, mii.
