The ultimate goal of this site is to have reviews. For that we need reviewers. If you have a good grasp of english and can write well, Wii's World needs you!
How does it work?
After its release, each game's page will have links to a 'main review' (when available) and some 'user reviews'.
Who can write reviews?
Everyone who visits the site is free to submit their reviews, the first good one (long and well written) for a particular game will be turned into our 'main review'. All others will be listed as user reviews, unless they look like this: "LOLZ dis game pwns!!!1!!!one" in which case they won't make it anywhere :)
What does a review look like?
The structure of the review is largely up to the individual reviewer. All reviews need to give a score out of 10 for the following categories: Gameplay, Lifespan, Graphics, Sound. From these a grade is worked out from A+ (excellent) down to F (terrible). A good review is unbiased, it points out flaws as well as good points and scores a game fairly.
Why would I do this? Is there pay?
No, there's no money. But there is good old fame, not to mention glory! The site is popular and your reviews will be read by thousands. If you fancy yourself as a reviewer, this is a good way to get your name out there.
What can I do now?
Get reviewing! If you don't have a Wii yet, the Gamecube section is active and waiting to take reviews.

I've already sent a review for NFS:MW, I'm hoping I'll see it under the "main review" thing. Knowing my luck I won't see it there though.

I love how you typed out one with the"!".

Cool. I've got a few gamecube games I could review.

Yeah, reviews are my thing. Wanted to work for my own website but I can post some on here first! Look for mine in the RE4 and soon to be Twilight princess areas. Hope I get a Main review on RE4 and Twilight!
Ja-Mez said:
I'm reviewing SSBB for sure. My theory is that since the Wii's slogan is Playing = Believing, since it's made in japan maybe Playing starts with W in japanese and believing with I. You never know.
Koen van Beeck said:
I might give that a shot.

I've already pre-ordered my Wii and just got a HUGE paycheck so I'll buy every launch title. I'll review for sure. By the way really good job on the website!

I "applied" to review, but I never heard anything back.

It sounds like fun, unfortunately I'm going to attend grad school soon and I don't know If I will have time. I will definitely do one for Metroid Prime 2, but that does not mean that my reviews will be polarized. I can be mean.
Milkman844 said:
Ekaj185, even if you have a "huge" paycheck, buying every launch title is crazy. There are like 62 titles at launch and only half of them are VC titles. For just the regular games you'll be spending like $2000. That's insane.

I will be sure to write a review for Twighlight Princess. This Zelda is supposedly better then there most famous one Ocarina of Time for the N64. We'll have to see.

Yeah I'm going to try to find some time to review gamecube and Wii. I'd like to see one of my reviews as the top review.

Great idea! I for one pledge my loyalty to wii's world. Once I have played the Wii enough I plan on submitting some reviews. Wish me luck!

The Wii sounds cool I think I'm going to get it. It's a lot cheaper than the ps3 and the xbox 360 so you have more money to buy games. I think the picture won't be as great but for 250 and you can play games that were on the sega genesis that appeals to me. This is a system for an average gamer like me.
Riley said:
I'll review a couple of games. I bet I'll beat you to SSBB Ja-Mez!

I own a Wii and I have 3 games (4 if you count Wii sports) and soon to have 4 (5) with elebits. I work at Gamestop so I have a lot of info most people don't hear, I've dealt with enough fan boys and girls to know how to present something without making a biased statement. Give me an e-mail and I can give you some samples.
New Wii-land said:
Cool you mean I get to criticize games? I love doing that. I'm not picky, it's just some people are too much of a fan-boy to give a real honest look at a game. I hate fan-boy reviews, especially when it's in a magazine you paid for and they don't mention abnormally long loading times, frustrating camera angles or the fact you need a walkthrough for this game because the only way to figure out this puzzle is to have a wealth of knowledge of Japanese culture. Anyway I reckon even if you think you'd be crap at reviewing something, give it a try. You may point out the one deciding factor that makes the reader choose that game to buy, because frankly saying it's the best game in the series isn't always a compliment. It just means that the others were so crap you couldn't make a worse game.

Wii. Well what can I say about this new and innovative console from Nintendo? NOTHING! Until I've actually played a few of the top Wii release games, using the much talked about and intriguing new control pad. I'll keep my honest opinions inspired by 30 years of a waning gaming experience, recently infected with a pleasant and almost forgotten over excited feeling of it being xmas morning. UNTIL THEN.

I played on a nintendo wii in hmv at my local city center and I played on wii sports tennis. I just want to say that it was the best gaming experience I have had in my entire life. The wii remote responds exactly the way you want it to. For example, when you do a forehand it does a forehand and when you do a backhand it does a backhand in the exact motions that you do. It keeps you very fit and healthy! The wii remote is very comfortable and very easy to use. I recommend you to get a wii.

Do you know what I would like to say? I have played heaps of consoles. I have a ps, gamecube, xbox, n64, snes, xbox 360 and so far out of them all (I don't want to sound like a super freako Nintendo guy but..) the Nintendo ones including my recently bought Wii have been the best. The Wii is so darn responsive, fun and in my opinion as long as the graphics are slightly better than my gamecube that I love it's still great. I don't know about you microsoft and sony fanboys but I don't see anything wrong with the wii's graphics and I don't even have a HD TV or a component cable. GO Wii!
Taffy said:
Really impressed with the Wii, I know my little girl (they are little not matter how old they are) is in for a real treat.
Would love to review Wii games and I think an opinion from our younger gamers would be a nice idea.

I've got a Wii. It's amazing man. You got to get it. I rented red steel the other day. It's fun, yet comical. Like the Japanese accents are TERRIBLE and they are so fake. But it's really fun. Not something I'd buy though seeing as it's too easy. I can't WAIT for metroid! Am I the only one that loved it for cube?! man. Super smash bros three should be sweet too. Really sweet. I have excite truck (don't bother with it, it's an absolute waste of time) good to rent but not any more. I love my Wii. It's an amazing system. I've now played every single next gen console, not just in stores, my friends have em, so far, Wii is the absolute best. Like stephen said, its really really responsive and it just works great! It freezes a lil bit when you first get it but that's just breaking it in I think. Same thing happened with my cube. Man that things a workhorse. I guess my main message, is to get the Wii, its really the best guys just take my word for it. Don't waste your time with the overpriced PS3-even though it is pretty sweet. Or the XBox 360-which is also cool, but there's nothing really special about it, it's just another xbox with better graphics. Well i'ma go play my Wii so see ya later!

I never thought me, a 26 year old female non-gamer would so suddenly become addicted to a game system. It is so much fun! My kids have to pry the controller out of my hands to get a turn. Oh well!

I got my Wii yesterday and it is amazing how sensitive it is to your movement, it is such a great idea I don't know why anyone would want a sony or a microsoft console! God herself gives it the thumbs up!
seantintin said:
Playstation 3? I think not. Wii, Wii all the way home. It's got a 10 out of 10 for me, it's so easy to set up and feels great. The remote's even better, takes a bit of getting to grips but 15 mins later you're well away. Play Wii sports, red steel, the gameplay is sweet. It kicks ass, buy one you won't be let down.

I think Age of Empires would be a great addition to the Wii's ever expanding games list. The wiimote can be used as a pointer and A to click things! The maps could be super huge and the best quality graphics to make your empire thingy.

It would be awesome if reviews on this site could be seen on gamerankings. Unfortunately, that may never happen.
sonu said:
I have not gotten a Wii yet but just the thought of it and hearing comments from others gets me more and more excited about getting it. But it's in such high demand that there are none left at stores to purchase. Oh, well! I'll get my hands on one sometime.
Eimile said:
Okay, so I just beat the Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess game and I tried to play my game again and it says that I haven't even beaten Ganondorf. I was just wondering if it's supposed to be like that?

I love reviewing because me and my boyfriend play a lot of games so we know what's good and what's not.
Sarnoc said:
The fact that anyone can submit yet the site can choose if it is good enough to post. I plan to try to post reviews for the GameCube until I get my Wii. I tried to post one on Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance but haven't seen it yet. Fire Emblem Fan 14, I heard that Goddess of Dawn is only the translation. I heard the American title is Radiant Dawn.

We bought my parents a Wii for Christmas, they love it. I loved it so much I bought me one too. It's great fun, and good exercise! I recommend it for everyone, what a way to spend time with your family.
Nova said:
To be honest it's not really plausible for a review to be objective. A review is meant to give the buyer a reason for buying or not buying a game. If the reviewer didn't have an opinion, the review wouldn't have any real purpose because a review is a review and not a list of features or a preview.
VicTon said:
My review of The Conduit has been published on the main articles section! I'm really excited seeing as this was my first crack at a review on this site.
