Splatoon is a multiplayer action game for Wii U where two teams of four players compete over territory, throwing ink to paint the ground and take out other players.
In human form players can shoot ink and attack others, and by transforming into a squid they can travel through the ink.
Thanks to the Wii U GamePad, players can enjoy intuitive motion controls and keep track of how the battle is going by looking at the map displayed on the touch screen, adding more strategic gameplay.
