There's a new channel available to download from the WiiWare section in the shopping area. It's a promotion for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, offering a trailer and some gameplay footage.
So far it's only available in the US. If you're not in the states, or you're just lazy, here's what what happens:
Here's hoping the controls are as tight as the footage suggests.
The Virtual Console will be getting its share of Metroid action as well, with the original Metroid for NES and Super Metroid both being released in the next two weeks.

Downloaded it already, it's just videos like this. Two more videos will come on August 13th. I also downloaded Everybody Votes by myself for free. And what are you doing at 3:00 in the morning.

Maybe Nintendo really is going to advertise a ton of metroid info before release date.

Awesome, I had to stop it before it finished I didn't want to ruin the "experience" of downloading and watching it myself!

Now that looks awesome! Any word if the UK will get it? You've got to love Nintendo's thinking- new channels to promote games! They must be working on a demo channel.

As good as Metroid 1 and 3 are, they should have spaced them out more. It really sucks though because school is about to reopen. Thanks a lot Nintendo.

I saw Ridley! There's honestly no Metroid without Ridley. The rapid-fire was probably the coolest feature I saw on the trailer, but I'm not saying that's the only one. Can't wait to get this game.

Damn. Mine didn't download that fast. What's wrong with my system?
Mr Friend said:
The download speed is probably your wireless internets fault.
DragonFoxCoon said:
I'm hoping that the "One Last Mission" line meant the end of the Prime trilogy, and not the end of Metroid. Otherwise, I'm drooling for this game.

I don't need rapid fire, all I do is tap the A button really fast. But rapid fire is still cool.
