DSi supports hotswapping

A new video released onto the Internet shows that Big N's latest handheld the DSi supports hotswapping. That meaning, you can remove game cartridges while powered on without the machine spazzing out.

Some other small tidbits of info are now known too:

  • The power button will pop up the menu in DSWare applications (similar to what the Home button does on a Wiimote).
  • Photos taken on the DSi camera can be shown on a daily calendar.
  • Some visualizers revealed for when you play music (see pic below).

The Nintendo DSi comes out on November 1st in Japan.

I think this is a useful feature. I always hated having to restart my ds just to switch games.
