Popular accessory makers Nyko have announced the successor to their existing charger for Wii remotes. This one's called the Charge Base IC, and it jumps on the induction-charging bandwagon, meaning it uses magnets instead of relying on metal plates.

This style of charging allows for the MotionPlus addon to remain connected to the remote while charging, or any other peripherals that Big N may come out with.

Charge Base IC features
• Induction charging - Allows Wii Motion Plus, silicone sleeves and other accessories to be attached during charging.
• Magnetic cradle holds and nurtures the Wiimote securely.
• USB Port - Charge other secondary devices through the port on its base.
• Indicator lights show clearly each remote's charge status.
• Two NiMH rechargeable battery packs with rubber grips included.
