Publishers Vivendi have revealed that the Ghostbusters will be making a comeback in a new game on Wii.
Intended as a true sequel to the films from the 80's, the original actors will be lending voice work and scriptwriting. Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler), Dan Akroyd (Ray Stanz), Bill Murray (Peter Venkman), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddmore) will all feature.
Details aren't abundant at this stage, but there's word of both multiplayer and co-op modes.

That ghost picture looks disgusting.

Again, it has the potential for a hit comeback or a titanic catastrophy. Those glow in the dark Ghostbusters cups were the shizz.

I always liked the movies. This should be good especially because they are going for authenticity.

This is very good. Shows sony still has nothing.

Awesome, the Ghostbuster movies are the best, I wonder how the game would be like. With the graphics on the Wii I bet they could make it real spooky so this might be a game not meant for younger kids. Maybe they'll release it on Halloween to emphasize the scary factor of it.

Holy crap, a ghostbusters game? I personally want Luigi's Mansion on the Wii.

I wouldn't want to see this game, ever.

Can you say, "Luigi's Mansion sequel"? I mean, this has to be what a Luigi's Mansion's sequel would have been. They're too similar.

Now this sounds interesting. If the original cast are lending a hand, surely this will be good? Let's hope they all play games though, or I'll be sending this straight into the games graveyard. See what I did there?

Ha I think this will be the first time Winston is actually in a Ghostbusters game.

Feb10isfartheraway, that's Slimer, he's the most famous of the Ghostbuster's ghost.

That's way too cool that Ghostbusters is coming to Wii and even cooler than all of the original actors are doing voices, especially Ernie Hudson.

Upon realisation, a Luigi's Mansion would be much better.

Winston was in Gb2 on the C64.

Remember that the original cast lent a hand to Ghostbusters II and that film was a total piece of crap. But I love the idea of using the wiimote as the gun for the ghost-trapping particle accelerator.

This is going to be a great game for the Wii, and all the other consoles, but the fact you're going to wave the stream around is awesome. Get this game on the shelf.
