I didn't hate the ice stage in Melee but it wasn't my all time favorite. I love this stage, it looks beautiful. Super King that Coke joke was funny, I forgot all about those Coke Bear Christmas ads.

Not the best stage yet, but definitely better than the Ice Climbers' last joke of a stage (Icicle Mountain) in Melee. It wasn't the scrolling that was bad, it was the randomness of the scrolling. It'd go up slowly, then speed up, then shift directions entirely and go quickly down. That was such a horrible stage. I'm glad I only played it like two times at most.

Sweet stage. Looks like everyone confirmed so far has a stage with their symbols on them except for Samus and Sonic. What kinds of stages would Sakurai have in plan for them? I have some guesses. For Sonic, his stage could be Green Hill Zone; that level was always fun in the old Sega games. For Samus, I think she should have a stage that looks like the cave where she defeated Metroid Prime's final form in Metroid Prime 1. It could have some Phazon pools to damage the players touching them. MP's core form could appear in the background every now and then and form new Phazon pools when the old ones dry out.

GamingGuy84, Samus's Stage was playable in the demo at E For All. It was the classic Brinster stage (you know, with the rising acid). Sonic is either Green Hill or Marble Zone (many of the pieces in the "build-your-own-stage" looks similar to things that would be in the Marble Zone).

Actuallly Aeth, the Metroid stage is called Norfair although because of the similarities between the two, I got them mixed up as well. As for Ice Climber stage, it looks like one of the prettiest and most interesting stages announced. This is good compared to the awful stage they had last time.
