Some stages from Melee will be returning for Super Smash Bros Brawl, so says Sakurai today. These stages will include Temple.
Why you lil'...
Only flying monks can get up here.
Plenty of legroom.
Come back, I just want to talk.
There is also a tune accompanying this update, it's Zelda II: Great Temple.

I love this. I loved how they did this in Melee with the Old Smash 64 stages they put in, now with this, oh Sakurai you're awesome.
RisingPhoenix said:
Best news since color changes. And before that it was the 3 taunts. And before that was the original entrances. All separated by like a week (which is long). It's been 5 weeks since our last new character update (Dedede). I think it's about time for a veteran character to show up just to make these updates a bit much sweeter. Oh also, that's one of the better theme music on this game (though they're all good).

Saweet! I love this stage on Melee, not because of the wide space it had. I hated it when I had to play it in Adventure/Arcade Mode. It took loads of time to get a person out, unless you got them far to the left or right early on.

Yes! I love the temple stage and wanted it to be in SSBB. Hopefully they will allow Marth back onto this stage once more.
Dekuknight2993 said:
It said "stages" as in plural, only see one.

Wow. Not a change.

Great update, great song, can't wait for Brawl (keeping it short and simple).
Aeth said:
Well I guess this is a good update. Once again they provide music to listen to and we now know that some old Melee stages are returning so all in all today's update isn't bad. The Temple Stage looks very nice in it's re-done state.
BrothaZ said:
Wow. The temple was my favorite course in melee, and the music is a lot more built up! The updates this week have been on a sharp incline.

I hope Kongo Jungle from Melee returns. I love the DK Rap.
DragonFoxCoon said:
I always liked the Temple stage. Lots of flying room. The thrill of the chase. Headbanging high damage count characters underneath the temple itself. Sweet sadistic pleasure.

Good to have melee stages back. Reminds me of melee.

Hope Final Destination comes back.

As long as that level with the crazy banjo song from super mario world is back, I love that tune.
insultman911 said:
I'm so dang used to this because I play melee a lot since brawl hasn't come out yet. It feels like new characters have been added to melee.
divinityboy said:
This means that more stages will be added with minimal effect to the release date. Nice.

This is pretty neat, but in my opinion the last meaty update we had was Norfair, which was three weeks ago, and really this is probably the biggest update since, which is kind of depressing (although the updates for Saki and the smartbomb are debatable). Anyways, I'd like to see Mute City, Fourside, Kongo Jungle, Fountain of Dreams, and Big Blue return from Melee and Saffron City, Hyrule Castle, Mushroom Kingdom, Zebes, and Peach's Castle from Smash 64. Maybe a revamped Flat Zone would be good too.
Diddy Kong Lover said:
I hope N64 Kongo Jungle Returns, along with Green Greens and Final Destination Seriously they need a new character: Bowser Jr, or Dixie now. Or even a veteran: Cpt. Falcon, Game & Watch.
BrAwL said:
I hope we get a kirby stage too.
wiirules said:
This is brilliant! I wonder if they'll re-skin them? The temple in particular was an amazing stage, easily my favourite.
Splintercell4ever said:
Seriously, why is EVERYONE posting under the super smash bros strings. There are so many other great things going on with the Wii, but everyone is just holding out for some diminutive updates every day. This game is way to overhyped.

I love that song!
hbh said:
They'll probably have battlefield, it's one of the most basic stages. Good to see temple back.
Charlie said:
Great, I used to hide in the lower parts and ambush people. Now I can do it with Wario.
DeanPOWER said:
Yay? I never really liked this stage to be fair, but it's nice to see it here. According to the site, there are slight modifications. I'm not too sure what those modifications are, but let's hope they're good.
theykilledkenny said:
What's the difference between the melee and brawl forms for temple? I don't see it, it is awesome how stages from melee are returning.
Gonzo said:
Melee was one of my favorite games. I love all the fighting stages.
RisingPhoenix said:
The last part of the song sounds so cynical! I'm lovin it.
Dark Star said:
I expected some of the melee stages to reappear in Brawl and hope some of the 64 smash stages return.
Extroverted Gamer said:
Super Smash Brothers Brawl should be overhyped, because it's going to be the best game on the Wii. Which other games (besides Corruption and Galaxy) can everyone agree to be highly acclaimed that have been released so far? Seriously, though. I experienced a transition from playing Sonic and the Secret Rings to Super Mario Galaxy. Games released for the Wii are meant ONLY for the Wii (except GH3; one of the only multi-platform Wii successes).
GamingGuy84 said:
As cool as this update is, I like to know when we are going to get a Sonic themed stage.

Music for Temple: "Temple (Melee)".
