OHHH YEAAAA. Sorry about that I'm just so happy with the results. I was rooting for every one of these games, even though the only one I've ever played was Majora's Mask (great game). I've still always wanted to play SMRPG, Chrono Trigger etc. Nintendo BETTER put these games on the VC now that they've heard what we want. And make a gosh dang sequel to SMRPG.

Earthbound and Mother are fun games. I really wish they'd release them on the VC. Oh, and they already made a "spiritual" sequel to Super Mario RPG (which is one of the best Mario, btw). I mean where do you think that Paper Mario came from? They play the same. It's just that SMRPG was a Nintendo/Square project (which is why there are some Square characters in the game), so they had to change it up for the sequel when Square dropped out.

I'm talking about one with Mallow and Geno returning as playable characters and a sequel that Square and Nintendo would make together. It ticks me off that Nintendo and Square are being too stubborn to just make a god dang sequel already. Square could at least have let Nintendo keep the character rights over Geno and let them make their own sequel. By the way the battle system between SMRPG and the other Mario RPGs are actually very different.

I played lufia 2 and fell in love, any old school rpg lover can appreciate this game especially for those like myself whose "virgin rpg's" were from the lufia series. To what I know SMRPG is on both the US and European VC. Earthbound yea we need Earthbound bad. As for chrono trigger just buy the DS remake of it. It includes an extra alternate ending along with several other features.

When Earthbound came to America they knew the US wasn't into RPGs at the time and they weren't taking any chances, they advertised the CRAP out of it! They even had it come with its own very well created strategy guide, and guess what? The sales plummeted terribly in the US, where Chrono Trigger sold like hot cakes around the same time (it was the 3rd best selling game that year why do you think they ended up remaking it on the DS). So after advertising the crap out of Earthbound, and practically serving it to American gamers on a silver platter, just to have it rejected and cast into Chrono Trigger's shadow, then suddenly wanted back years later by American gamers SERIOUSLY. You don't think that WOULDN'T piss Nintendo off just a little? Also the game has a wide variety of songs, many of which are facing copyright issues, this is also holding it back. I want Earthbound as much as the next person, but can you really blame them for thinking twice about remaking the game or putting it on the VC?
