Mario Superstar Baseball

The superstars of the Mushroom Kingdom gather on the diamond to power up America's favorite pastime.

  • Play ball! Players pick captains, fill out their teams with their favorite characters from the Mario universe and hit the field in an easy-to-learn, hard-to-master ballgame. Each captain has a special Star Skill for pitching and batting, so whether players hurl fireballs as Mario or blast curving banana balls as Donkey Kong, they'll experience baseball like never before.
  • In Challenge mode, players wander through a world of wild trials, playing mini-games to earn coins and power-ups, unlocking characters and clearing baseball-related challenges on their way to a showdown with Bowser.
  • Players can play exhibition games against a friend or take on up to three pals in crazy mini-games like Bob-omb Derby and Barrel Batter, each of which refines skills they'll use on the diamond. Or players can hit the Toy Field for a frantic, point-based game of pitch-and-hit.

Game Storyline: Characters drawn from all of the Mario games gather to play baseball and baseball-related mini-games.

Characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Birdo, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong and more than 20 other characters from the Mario universe.

How to progress through the game: Play exhibition games, complete baseball-related missions in Challenge mode, beat multiple skill levels of the mini-games and play Toy Field matches to unlock new characters, features and stadiums.

Special powers/weapons/moves/features: All of the captains have a unique Star Skill that allows them to perform a special move while pitching or batting. These range from turning the baseball into a fireball that sets players on fire (Mario and Luigi) to transforming the ball into a banana that whirls erratically through the air (DK and Diddy Kong) to launching a somersaulting Bullet Bill instead of the ball (Bowser and Bowser Jr.)

Best baseball ever! It beats real life baseball into a pulp.

Yeah but if you play this it's not as healthy as real baseball!

The only mario sports games Nintendo needs to make are Hockey, boxing and swimming.

My fav: dixie kong. She's in no games! That was the best for her to be in.

Diddy Kong is better. He has a Special Shot. I can't wait for DK Bongo Blast to come out on Wii.

Diddy is better in all. But it's nice to see dixie around.

I don't know about that. MVP Baseball is or was the best baseball series in my book.

This game is awesome. I got it in Christmas 2005. It's hard though. Oh and Wii Freak, they just need to make Football and Hockey.
