The latest update on the Smash Bros website describes Pikachu's final smash. It's called the Volt Tackle. Everyone's favorite pokemon turns himself into a ball of electric which you can control for a short time to take opponents out.
But my eyes burn.
You don't scare Kirby.
Missed again.
Don't lose control in mid-air.

Is that a rat dressed as pikachu?

The LOLZ was a nice touch.

That hamster scares me.

I wish I could do that.

Looks risky. Something only to be used by more advanced players, or in desperate situations.

I guess that move fails.

That's awesome! Can't wait to see more final smashes.

That seems like a slight disadvantage on Pikafruit's part. His best attack flies around wildly and can stop in midair. I hope this attack isn't as hard to control as they make it seem.

Yesterday I was playing as ness in super smash bros melee and I was just standing and ness looked sort of like pikachu in these photos. He had a whole bunch of lighting around him, except not as much as pikachu here, just like a little sphere of electricity that flashed little by little like static electricity. Anyone know what that was all about?
Orez said:
Yea, that's Ness's move which allows him to lower his percentage if hit by a projectile while in that state.
Zippy said:
That's his shield. If NES uses that shield, and gets hit by a projectile, he heals, instead of taking damage. Great fun if you can convince Samus or MewTwo to shoot one of their charged up death-balls at him.

I like Pikachu!
Wiiping for wii said:
No not the shield, it was happening when he was just standing.

Wow, amazing move. That seems dangerous, but looks like a powered up Quick Attack from SSBM.

IR pikachu XD. By the way when this gets out (FINALLY) I'm going to use kirby non stop. Wouldn't it own if waluigi was in? He could crotch chop people and throw balls in their faces.

Pretty cool.

My friend said that pikachu is the worst playable character on SSBM. I wonder why?
Nickhead said:
Why did pikachu's bolt tackle did not star in the SSBB trailer?
xMr1337x said:
This attack looks a lot like Jigglypuff's power up attack, so it shouldn't be too hard to control, just use common sense.
magic hand said:
Cool but if it's anything like in the game, pikachu will take damage too.
ZP said:
Actually, I aced against my brother with Pikachu but how this looks suggests Volt Tackle, if it ends in the air, is an SD. Shots here show Kirby running because Final Smashes are deadly.

Anyone notice that in every smash bros game kirby barely changes?
insultman911 said:
I bet it probably goes on for like ten seconds.
