Hey gringos, a local Gamestop release listing reportedly says that Samba De Amigo is heading to the Wii. Originally a hit in the arcades, it was ported to the Dreamcast by Sonic Team with critical success.
Samba de Amigo is a rhythm game played with a pair of maracas, so you might expect the Wiimote and nunchuk to work well. The listing suggests a price tag of $49.99 and release date of February 6th, 2008.
For relaxing times... make it samba time.

Never played it. I should try it when it comes out.

$49.99 for a maracas game is way too much. As a part of Wii music, great, but it can't be that great alone, assuming some kind of DDR style in-rhythm play.

Once again, insert the lyrics to "Conga Beat" from "The Mask" here.

Wow, I remember people actually joking about this happening, because you wouldn't have to get any extra equipment to play it. I remember having the original on the Dreamcast, but the third-party maracas ruined 2 Dreamcasts in total, so I got rid of 'em. This will be awesome.

Doesn't seem too promising so far, especially since it was a port on the Dreampast.

PowerStone? You must not have played that game much; that would kick serious ass if it made it to Wii.
