Can you say "mild suggestive themes"?

I've had some embarrassing moments with DDR.

Looks like you use your arms instead of legs.

I've always hated this game and it is way too hard. They should bring guitar hero to the Wii instead of dance dance revolution.

Do you think that you will get a dance mat? Because I love those games.

Captain Jamesman said:

That's pretty cool. I hope my friend doesn't beg me to get this. What's with all those hot chicks all around the player?

Crimson Hawk said:

If they get a dance mat for this game, what good is it for the Wii!?

Avatar

Alex2310 said:

They're going to use a dance mat and then the controllers are for arm moves.

Nice. It's a game with a bunch of scrawny women dancing with you - this is my number 1 on the to-get list!

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

I wonder what music they'll put in this?

Avatar

Crimson Hawk said:

Alex2310 that makes much more sense now that you mention it, thanks. Hopefully they'll put more rock on it than pop and disco. I wonder if you can customize your own character (just a suggestion).

Guitar hero can lick wii's nunchuk! DDR way better.

Perhaps you will be able to download music by Wii online. Wii has the space. Or put music from PC on an SD card (With stepfiles?) and play it on Wii! 111 no more stepmania for pc!

I hope it's both arms and legs.

Wiipaw said:

Maybe you could put your Mii in there. Oh, and I want Mugen in the song list again! That song was awesome.

Avatar

Crimson Hawk said:

That would be so cool if you could put your mii on there. If you could it would get an anime make over.

Crimson Hawk said:

I want Evanescenece and/or Panic at the disco on this game.

That'll be hot if they have Chicken Noodle Soup, or Walk it Out! I'm from New York, don't call me crazy. Ballin'.

itstimetoplaydawii said:

Yeah I think I might go off of what Alex2310 says. Either that, or you use your arms in this one and put the wii-mote high for up-arrow, to your left for a left-arrow and so on.

Avatar

Unknown said:

I have learned that it is both and when you have to use hand motions it's a || symbol instead of an arrow. So there are hand motions and regular, using your legs and feet.

It's just getting closer and closer! I can't wait to try to play this new dancing style. When you come into my room you will probably see a whole party of people dancing.

Me said:

Ahh that would be sweet to be able to use your own songs but not going to happen. I am MUCHO excited.

Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:

Oh come on! It's May 29 and the latest news on this game is all the way back in February 2, the day it started. AAAHHHH! I'm too impatient. Just wait Matthew. Just wait.

Gonzo said:

I saw a video! You use the pad for the moves like the regular DDRs and you use the Wiimote and Nunchuck to do a pose or distract another player. There can be up to 4 players at once.

Avatar

MII said:

Duh yes they will have a pad but it's wireless. GH 3 legends of rock is coming out for Wii too.

Scooby Jew said:

4-player multiplayer? Sounds good already. Although I never did like DDR. Well, I actually hated it. I do think I might get this game; most likely not since it's $70.

Popular songs KILL the DDR franchise. Ultrimix 3 on the xbox stunk because of the 'popular' songs they add into it. There's often awkward step patterns, and the songs are no where near DDR worthy. DDR is about fast, fun techno beats, not slow, popular hits. Karma Chameleon is the only one that MIGHT work out, but other than that, this set list is NOTHING. I mean come on, The Sign? That song is slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter. Unless EVERY song is a techno remix, than I have incredibly low interest in buying this game. Don't kill a franchise by trying to bring in new players with songs you think will go over well with them. That makes the old players want to leave even more.

Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:

Yeah I agree with you GGbritt.

Sonic Phantom said:

I'm not getting this game. Simply, because I hate to dance.

Avatar

Fire Emblem Fan 14 said:

I don't really consider this as dancing but it's still fun.

Avatar

wiizer said:

It looks like I could dance until I flip out and kill dead zombies with my Wii controller.

Blue said:

Guitar Hero is but the fat man's dance dance revolution. Popular songs do kill the franchise. We need some DDR veterans like D. J. Taka, even Riyu Kosaka would be acceptable.

From the partial songlist that has been posted, I am highly disappointed in it. I'm sick of all the horrible rap that gets put on there, not to mention the lack of Konami originals. I know these are not all of the songs, but I still have little faith. And GGbritt, I actually liked Ultramix 3, despite some of the popular songs. I avoided them and had fun with the other ones that were actually good. I really wish there was a way to create your own mix of songs and make a DDR out of it. That isn't possible though *sigh*.

Avatar

Wiiner said:

Blue, how can you say that gh3 is fat man's DDR. I have a six pack and love gh. It's like comparing apples and oranges, they are both great.

Cant Dance said:

I just got Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party for the kids. I don't know where the pad plugs in and the instruction manual does not cover this very important fact.

The Yoshi Guy said:

Dearest -dcx-: Have you ever heard of StepMania? Oh, and who here LIKED DDR: Mario Mix?

Avatar

ToTaL GaMeR said:

I got this game, but after about a month it gets pretty boring, especially since you can now buy guitar hero. Oh and @ Candy Dance- it plugs in at the top of the Wii, there's a panel you can pull up and plug into.

Avatar

Captain Jamesman said:

I liked Mario Mix. The music was awesome. But I was disappointed at the fact that there were more Mario songs then non-Mario songs, and the fact you could only play as the Mario Brothers.

Wiipaw said:

Captain Jamesman, you just wanted to see peach do a sexy dance.

Donna said:

The Wii version of DDR is more versatile than my old PS2 game. Just to make everyone aware - YOU CAN SHUT OFF FEATURES. Yes, Wii DDR requires you to use your remote and also move your arms, etc. However, you can go into the options and turn OFF the hands, turn OFF the Blocks to make it regular DDR. I think every obese person should get a Wii with DDR free from our government, then we wouldn't have fat Americans. It's the BEST and the SNEAKIEST exercise ever. I use it until I am so tired I want to drop, but then I look at the music selection and do it again. God Bless DDR.

RavingRabbit said:

I love this game.

Avatar

Dancer Bebe said:

Well this game is pretty sexy, but only problem is, like someone said, some of the songs are really slow, which can get annoying. And they should make it wifi, well I guess it's too late but whatever. The stomp and confusers are just stupid, but the game still killz guitar hero =P Only fat lazy people play guitar hero, love ya ddr dancers.

Avatar

jersey said:

It's not really dancing but it's fun and addictive. Even keeps track of the calories you burn. I hate the music though. If they get more up to date music it's a great buy.

Avatar

Ainsley said:

Ok, I have this, and I hate using the Nunchuks. How do you turn those off? It said you could before it loaded the game.

Avatar

ToTaLgAmEr said:

@Ainsly, go to options right before you pick the song and you can set the hand motions off.

Avatar

Jennelle said:

Alright first off, great game, really fun. But there are two things that need to change. 1) Get rid of the freaking slow songs. Nobody likes DDRing to a slow song, it's just boring. 2) Why do all the girls look like anorexic hookers?
