Sonic turns 18

Eighteen years ago today, on June 23rd 1991, a blue ball spindashed its way onto TV screens all over the US and Europe - in the form of Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. Controversial king of pop Michael Jackson has a video game coming out on Wii, PS2 and PS3. According to the press release, the game will include many of Michael's songs, trademark dance moves and videos for the "whole family to enjoy" (especially kids?). Factor 5 legal wars

Former employees of Factor 5 are suing the company's founders over unpaid wages. Factor 5, whose US-based studio was closed down in May, are accused of transferring source code and assets to another studio called White Harvest before declaring bankruptcy.
