Get spooked with your old friend, Luigi, as he navigates his way through the creepy nooks and crannies of Luigi's Mansion, available exclusively for the new NINTENDO GAMECUBE. This one-player action adventure is the first title to star Mario's younger brother Luigi, a beloved character who has made appearances in Nintendo video games since 1993.
The fun begins on a proverbial dark and stormy night, as Luigi investigates a mysterious mansion he's inherited. Instead of a relaxing retreat, he finds a host of howling spirits. Our hero ventures through countless rooms filled with side-splitting spooks, trying to vacuum up the ghoulish ghosts to clean the house of its unwelcome visitors. With the help of a new doctor friend, Luigi must capture ghosts and turn them into paintings. Throughout the adventure, players watch Luigi creep, cower and cry in fright as the roaming spirits try to scare him out of his wits.
Luigi's Mansion shows off the powerful graphics capabilities of the NINTENDO GAMECUBE technology to create an immersive world that is filled with intriguing visuals. For example, the game features real-time lighting and shading created by Luigi's flashlight, as well as transparent ghosts - effects that could be created only on NINTENDO GAMECUBE.
"You really feel the emotions of the characters and see unprecedented levels of detail, down to ghoulish reflections in a mirror," says Peter Main, executive vice president, sales and marketing, Nintendo of America Inc. "With Luigi taking the front-and-center role in this title, players will quickly get into the spirited fun of the game."

It was very interesting. But Luigi's Mansion on the Wii would be amazing.

I had heard that they were making Luigi's Mansion 2.
Wii Freak said:
I beat this game 4 times. But it's still fun!
Ian C. said:
I cleared it 6 times!
Wii Freak said:
It's not a contest Ian.
Captain Jamesman said:
Wii Freak is right. It's only for fun. I've cleared the game more than 10 times. And Sonic Fan, Luigi's Mansion 2 is only a rumor. But still, this game was fun.
Gonzo said:
I never played this game. But wouldn't you get bored of playing a game like 5 or 10 times? I would, because you already know what you will encounter the same things over and over and you would get bored of it.
Jason Pilcher said:
I owned it but then sold it cause I couldn't understand it. I was in 4th grade when I got it, now I'm in 8th.

Yeah, Luigi's Mansion 2 is in the rumor section of this website. Personally, I think Waluigi and Daisy Wii games are in order. Super Princess Daisy? Waluigiware? Waluigi Hockey? Daisy Lacrosse?
Captain Jamesman said:
Random ideas from Hey I say. And Jason, I played this game since the 3rd grade, and I totally understood it.
Wii Freak said:
Who could not understand this game? It's about an Italian man who sucks up ghosts with a vacuum cleaner.

Come on out with luigi 2! I beat this several times yet love it.
Toad said:
I'm at king boo. I tried so many times, got mad, and the SOFA doesn't like it when I'm mad. Trust me!
Wii Freak said:
You know what I'd like to see? An M rated Mario game. I can see it, mario with a gun shooting koopas and goombas.
Toad said:
I always dreamed of that. That would be the best.
Meamatoader said:
This game was my first game ever, I sold it and regret it to this day. I'm getting it on my birthday definitely.

This game was my third game. Found it under my pillow. I had to use gamewinners to beat bowser. Oh and when you stop halfway down the well's ladder in the courtyard, you can hear Mario saying "Hey Luigi! What's the holdup?".
insultman911 said:
Hey Wii Freak! That game is called Mario Rampage! You can play it online but its pretty boring.
insultman911 said:
I'll tell you how to beat bowser and king boo. Wait until bowser throws spike balls everywhere. Vacuum one of them. Hold R and wait until bowser leans his head over to suck you up or blow fire and shoot the spike ball at his head. The head will pop open and king boo pops out. Vacuum him up. He has 400 energy, while floating bowser head shoots fireballs at you I think. Sooner or later, king boo will go back into Bowser's body and if you're lucky, Bowser's head will go on backwards and start crashing into pillars. This might help you, Toad.

I cleared it 6 times! The best I got was a B. I love it! Luigi deserves the spotlight a second time (the first time was Mario Is Missing).

Here is three tips that will help get A rank. In the butler's room first use the candle to get fire element, then use the Gameboy Horror to check the base of the wall behind the toilet paper and search the mouse hole to open a wrap like the doghouse. There is a room stuffed with riches, vacuum everything including the vases. Also in the courtyard (where the dog was), the small green sprout use the water element on it when you first see it you'll know when you gave it enough, after the second boss and again after the third boss (you must water it all of those times or it will die) and it will give you one of the two gold jewels (other appears if you get all fifty boos). Also on the roof, first time not when fighting "Bowser", after you get the key climb the other and fall in. To leave that room vacuum the cover off the mirror and use the Gameboy Horror on it.

They should have made a second game.
MarioBrosFan said:
I think they should make a second one for the Wii. I heard there was one coming soon. They would make Luigi go hunting for ghosts in space. But that was the original design. But Mario beat him to it yea? With Mario Galaxy right? They should have more games for characters who were never the main character. I agree with Hey like making a game for Daisy, Waluigi, or even Birdo. They made a Peach one. They should make one with you playing as Bowser, that would be sweet.
EDD said:
Wii freak, an M rated Mario game? Which is an M Rated Nintendo game? Well they went up to teen only. Super smash bros melee, Super smash bros Brawl, and Legend of zelda: Twilight Princess are the only Teen Nintendo games.
Charley B Koopa said:
I agree playing as Bowser would be sweet, yet Luigi deserves some spotlight like most of the characters. I love Luigi's mansion, make anther Luigi game.
Lay-Z Boy said:
Yeah! Bowser's Quest: The Total Apocalypse! Rated T for Teen-Mild Language, Graphic Violence.
Arabella said:
Sucking up ghosts with a vacuum cleaner in a haunted scary mansion would be the absolute best. Just imagine: You can have your Wii remote also as a flash light, so where you move your remote the light will appear on the screen in the direction your pointing. And you would move with your nunchuck. Anyway it would give that impression like you're really sucking up ghosts, as well as giving you a scare. Anyway I beat the game for NGC 4 times, I still love it, the whole thing was amazingly done and was a joy to play late at night with all lights off.

Luigi's mansion 2 - Luigi is kidnapped by Waluigi and King Boo. Daisy walking through the woods with a hood on so you don't know it's her, until she opens the door to Luigi's mansion to find out he's gone. Then Egad sets her up with a new and improved Vacuum and she's sucking up ghosts and calling out for LUIGI.
Anie said:
The game is way better than I thought. The graphics are the best I've seen for gamecube. The gameplay is cool and it is fun to play over and over again.

One of my favorites. An instant Nintendo classic in my book.

I heard that it was a first person game and you can use E. Gadd's son or Waluigi, and in the second time you'll use Luigi.
Nintendoof said:
E. Gadd doesn't have a son.

I thought this was called "Mario's Mansion".
Lay-Z Boy said:
This is like the only game I ever completed.
ravingrabbid12 said:
I've heard that Nintendo is considering the title: Electric Boogaloo.
insultman911 said:
I can already think of the gameplay for Luigi's Mansion 2. Move Luigi with the nunchuck, point your flashlight with the wiimote, then when you spot the ghost, use the wiimote as the vacuum and suck em in by controlling the ghost with the wiimote by holding the B button.
Gabe390 said:
You should read luigi and waluigi's mansion. It's funny, seriously, I laughed out loud.
Jak said:
It is a Mario version of Ghostbusters.

I got the Luigi's mansion players edition and for some reason it doesn't work on the Wii. It comes up but won't play even with the game controller that plugs in the numchuck plug. Is there a trick to this?
YoshLee said:
Hmm I'm surprised there are two reviews that gave it A's. I loved Luigi's Mansion a lot, it's the sort of game you play because you'll never experience anything else like it, but I wouldn't have given it an A.
