Reports are flying around the Internet willy nilly saying that 3D Realms, the developer of Duke Nukem, has shut its doors for the last time.
This is allegedly down to financial problems in these trying times, all employees have been let go. Regarding further Duke Nukem games however, things could still be ok. A PR spokesperson commented:
"Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms. Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned".
The Duke lives to see another day (and/or stripper).

I find it funny how us as gamers, are worried about whether we will still get the next installment, like "omg all these guys lost their jobs but please don't tell me we won't get more duke nukem". Exact same with free radical and Timesplitters.
