At a retailer meeting over in Japan, Nintendo has revealed the first alternative color choice for the Wii console. It's black, and it looks sleek. Indeed, if Darth Vader owned a Wii, this would be the one.

The black Wii should feature: DVD playback, Wireless and capability, and increased RAM to support more web multimedia compatibility. That would make it worth purchasing. That's not much to ask. I could have said HD support.

Since the Wii's sale in Japan is slowly decreasing, now I have to say it's time for some new Wii colors starting with black. Maybe when the new Zelda Wii game releases in 2010 we might see a shiny gold Wii like the one that royal queen received a few months ago.
