UK publishers Lexicon have announced they'll be bringing CustomPlay Golf 2009 onto Wii, as well as PC.
The press release talks a big game. CPG 2009 will include fifteen full 18-hole courses to play on, realistic physics, swing mechanics and customization of your golfer.
A major feature is the editor, which allows you to make your own golf courses. These can be a variety of types, including:
Lexicon's President Christopher Allcroft commented:
"We're excited to be working with the CustomPlay Golf team as their knowledge and experience in creation of a golf title is exceptional. Lexicon feels they can create a new unique benchmark as they truly understand the most important nuances of this great sport and we believe a golf title that will have gamers coming back for more".
Yeesh, "coming back for more", how tired is that. The Wii version is expected for the first quarter of next year.

Well, if the Wii version has similar feel to the mouseswing in CustomPlay Golf 2, best analog swing of any golf title and that's coming from a longtime TW truswinger, we may finally get a great Golf game. Jonny needs to take a nap since he obviously knows nothing about CPG.
