DreamGear are releasing a new accessory capable of charging up to four controllers without wired contact. Each Wiimote sits on top of its respective plate and gets charged through induction.
Priced at $59.99 on Amazon, the clumsily named Wireless Charging Power Base Quad will be released in two days, on April 30th 2009.

That's a beautiful product title.

I think I've heard about this. It's useful if you use the jackets, seeing as it's a pain to take those off to recharge or replace the batteries.
Star Turtle said:
This looks very unbelievable, especially the the picture that shows the remotes charging even with the jackets on. Does anyone have a review to see if this really works?
Wii's World said:
From what I've read, it works through magnetic fields, so yea the jacket can stay on.

Yay! Hooray for Faraday! Most likely an eminent purchase.

If this works halfway well, it's a must have at my house. No one but me puts the remotes back into the charge stand anyway, and then we end up not using the protective cases. Yay for inductive charging, absolutely! (Even if it is incredibly inefficient and wasteful otherwise).
