Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

That looks pretty cool. I LIKE!

Niiiiice.

That axe definitely looks like it's for Wii. I have to commend them for marketing genius. What they can do is relase special edition axes or bundle exclusive faceplates with the game. Do I smell MONEY!?
Wherewulf said:
Wow, it looks good. Wonder how they'll incorporate the motion sense.
Steve said:
Looks pretty big, if this is going to come with the game. And if they're that big, how much will they be by themselves?
POPOPO said:
Oh my god a place to put the wiimote - amazing.
BonbonJoe said:
That's elite. I've only had GH2 for PS2, and this looks probably about 200x better.
wii rox said:
This remote slot easily makes the Wii version the best. Style points ahoy!
Zendalf said:
Will it only be les paul? Because I was really wanting an X-plorer or at least an sg.
Nintendo iQue said:
Sweet. I was wondering if they were going to come out with a Gibson Les Paul guitar controller. But it looks like it only has 3 buttons compared to the 4 buttons on SG and X-plorer versions.
Stinky12694 said:
Sexiness!
Zach said:
*Drools* awesome can not be defined as less. What about Rock Star? I'm really hoping that gets ported to the Wii. Oh please.
DEL said:
Can we expect a left handed version? We will need invert options for the control stick at least.
wiiman said:
That is so cool. It's has an old school style but a futuristic look. Can't wait for this, brawl, and samus to come out.
Matt said:
Only 3 buttons? The remote must also have in-game functionality! This could be very interesting.
elvis said:
Left-handed version would be great. I hate accidentally bumping pause in the middle of solos and stuff.
DragonFoxCoon said:
I always thought that if I wanted a guitar, it would be blue. This white one is MUCH sexier than anything I could ever dream up. Kudos to Activision and Red Octane.
Gonzo said:
That's hot! I like how that looks. What's the price? I know it's like $60-80 US because it's like a bundle. I just want to know for sure.
Yoshi-1up said:
Downloading new songs every once in a while will be cool on Guitar Hero III for the Wii. Maybe it'll have Mario or Zelda songs to rock out to.
the poopisian said:
This looks so sweet, I can't wait to get it. It looks awesome and way better than the ps2 and xb360 ones. This is tightness.
wiiwonder said:
This is cool! I have played guitar hero II and fell in love with it. I have a Wii and now I can jam. I hope they have some sweet 80's songs too.
KOOL-AID said:
Damn, I thought that they would make a way for the game to be played with only the nunchuk connection. You know, a "revolutionary style".
gotit55 said:
Whoa that guitar is awesome. I have GH2 and I thought the wireless guitar looked cool, but this is amazing.
dead wonder said:
It's retro, ghetto, tight and cool! You have to buy it (even if you don't buy the game!).
Zendalf said:
OH! And it's got the analog stick where the tone switch usually is.
hawk said:
Hey you ALL KNOW ME. I'm the the thirteen year old kid that got 100% on freebird and 92% on jordan. Look me up if you don't believe.
viewtiful moe said:
That's most probably cooler than the zapper and the balance board. Oh and it's got 4 fret buttons. Or are you guys blind?
lman07 said:
This guitar is 100 times better than the guitars in gh1 and gh2.
jackie said:
YAY! I'm excited.
Dave said:
I have heard that the price for it will be closer to 100 bucks for the bundle but I am not sure if there is truth to it. I heard it from a guy who runs an EB games in minnesota.
adam said:
It will sell like hell! I'm getting 2 already.
Casey said:
This is awesome; I was really hoping that it wouldn't have a cord coming out of it to attach to the Wii remote, and it doesn't, so I'm happy. It's going to cost 89.99 for the Wii version and 99.99 for the other platforms. I also heard something about incorporating the motion sensors of the Wii remote to make the game more interesting. I can't wait to play it.
chinkle face said:
I think this new design is very cool and voluptuous and I'm hoping I can get my hands on one soon. Before I explode! Nah what I'M SAYING?
Dox said:
This game will be wicked awesome and zendalf isn't a know-it-all.
gamecrazy said:
I have wondered how guitar hero would possibly work for Wii. I never would have guessed that. I'll have to try it out.
Girlygamer said:
Oh my god, I love guitar hero and now that it's coming out for Wii I am so gonna rub it in my friend that has a ps3's face. Because he's been saying burn, they won't ever make GH for Wii! Now freebird is so going down.
guitar demon said:
I hope they have better guitars in guitar hero 3 than guitar hero 2.
koolio the wii man said:
This will be the best version by far.
The Hamburgler said:
Ok viewtiful moe, it has five fret buttons. Green, red, yellow, blue and orange. In that order. Or else you can officially label me blind.
wow wii said:
Anyone who thinks it has 3 buttons is wrong, it has 5. The orange and blue buttons aren't very visible on the neck in this picture.
Super Mario said:
I think the wiimote slot should be on the back of the GH controller. Or maybe the bottom of the front. And it does have five fret keys on it.
junk said:
I'm so pumped for gh3, I played gh2 on my cousin's xb360 and it was so awesome. It is going to be the biggest seller activision has ever made. I'm asking my parents for it for Christmas (sorry if some of you guys or gals are jewish), it's going to be totally rad. The controller looks awesome. Gh3's number one fan signing off.
Junk said:
The guitar hero 3 for Wii is going to be awesome, I'm so ready.
Skalbare said:
I have to say I'm really excited about GH3 for the Wii. It will no doubt rock. However I'm kind of disappointed by the controller from a design point of view. A couple of pictures were posted a while back and I think the ones without the wiimote in them look 10 times better than the final design. It just looks like they stuck it in there. But will I buy the game? Definitely.
Gonzo said:
I like how you can put the Wiimote in it.
JD said:
Yes! Gibson Les Paul.
JD said:
I'm going to get one for Christmas AND hunnahka. And I'm an atheist.
yourmom said:
I hope they have really cool face plates. Can't wait until its out.
heebo said:
I'd love to play with Mario.
wiidude said:
The former gh controllers had 5 buttons, as does this one. You would see if you looked closer. Also would like to say this is gonna ROCK!
That one guy said:
That guitar is glorious.
k, mack said:
I'm so getting this as soon as it comes out.
z0mggg said:
I personally would rather have it a gibson sg (a white one) with the wiimote in the neck rather than the actual guitar.
Jayhood said:
Man I play GH3 at digital life (jacob javits center). I love that game, I score 98% on Blinded By The Light by Manfred Manns Earth Band first time playing it and it's the last song in the game.
Harold Crick said:
This is awesome, I can't wait to get it. Hooray. It looks better for the Wii.
Mona said:
I can't wait to get it! I already got it preordered. I just paid $5 up front and then I got to pay another $75 when I go to pick it up.
grampy said:
This guitar will use the Wii mote speaker for missed notes, and the rumble for the bass notes. Sounds like the Wii is the best system to own this game on in my opinion.
one eyed jim said:
Hey the wii's accelerometer is used for star power and you can fling it around in a solo to get points. The Wii will have faceplates with a cutout for the 'mote. The guitar will run off of the wiimote's batteries. Songs can be downloaded at a specific online store.
the greatone said:
I'm the one who gets 100 percent on expert. Guitar hero 3 for Wii will be so pimp. Slipknot, kizz, g & r, metallica, the gods have blessed us with "one", oh and "befor I forget". The Wii remote slides in the front, the guitar is wireless and it will have rumble effect. When you miss a note it reverbs from the remote so it's like coming from the guitar. Yes it has 5 frets, green, red, yellow, blue and orange. First 3 used on easy. Med and hard use the blue and expert uses all 5 frets. Should be easier to "rock out" with the remote since it's already axis sensitive! Getting it this Sunday.
gimobi said:
Hard uses the orange fret too, budday.
29Nate said:
Where can I get a second guitar for the GH3 for the Wii and not another game?
BrianDanimal said:
I need a second guitar.
b-rad said:
Why can't you download new songs offline?
ldskjvnlsdn said:
I already have it for Wii.
KeepRockin' said:
There are FIVE fret buttons. And they're clearly visible to me. Anyway, this is totally exciting for me. I'm getting a Wii for Christmas. It's pretty sad when the Wii guitar looks better than the 5 real guitars that I own/play. (Geez my parents are cheap.).
Wii wanna rock said:
Just bought it, it's rockin! Five fret buttons. Wish the remote went in the neck though, that would be cool. So far there's no evidence of an online store for music. They haven't come out with a separate guitar. Motion is only used in a new thing called battles when you attack your opponent. Yes, online play of course. Comes with STICKERS! Sound comes out when you miss a note. Really good songs and bands.
i like money said:
Cool a gibson guitar.
adrian said:
Incredible. It looks like the real Gibson Les Paul, and it's WIRELESS.
i am the tiger said:
Yeah, 5 frets. And, um, the Wii remote goes in through the BACK! You plug it in with a cord that's hidden inside a compartment in the back, put the cover back over it, and voila, GH3 connected to your Wii. But it really ticks me off that extra guitars are coming out on January 28th, 2008. What a ripoff.
ojobojo said:
It is feb 9th and they havent came out with the extra guitar.
RuFF said:
And now it's feb 14th and still no guitar. What am I going to have to do, make one myself? Okay red octane get your asses in gear.
Cate said:
When is the extra guitar going to come out?!? damn.
Sharpy said:
The guitar looks better than any of the other consoles but I think white is a bad colour.
pipz said:
I know I have it but I do not know how to take off the face plate.
I have game said:
I finaly got it! And to people that said "I like how you CAN put wii-mote in" - you have to put it in. Because there are no batteries in the guitar so you got to connect wii-mote. And no you can't add batteries in guitar to avoid putting it in.
