Well, it's official, the NiGHTS sequel is a reality and will be called NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.
Sega claim the game will be ready for release by Christmas this year in both Europe and the US. Gary Knight commented:
"Journey of Dreams takes full advantage of the innovative Wii Remote, letting gamers fly through breathtaking dream worlds. It brings an exciting and unique gameplay experience to one of SEGA's most cherished franchises and is sure to attract a new generation of fans".
Here's hoping. You play a purple jester called NiGHTS, flying through a colorful world called Nightopia. Unfortunately Nightopia is under threat from the dreaded Nightmarens, creatures of nightmares.
Journey of Dreams will feature seven dream worlds to fly around in. Using the Wiimote gamers are said to get an enhanced sense of gliding and spiraling about in the air as NiGHTS uses his acrobatic talents.
If Sega pull out all the stops, this game could be a dream come true (how good was that!).

Now, if they could put the original on the VC, I'll be happy.
Mr Friend said:
NiGHTS into Dreams won't ever be on VC because of file size. It's around 600MB (mostly the soundtrack though).

Finally, the sequel! I just hope we don't have to wait until 2008 to get it. And hopefully Sega will put effort into making this, unlike all the Sonic games.

Finally! Just like the hardcore fans, I've waited years for a sequel. I know Iizuka-san will do a good job.
