Official Wii lens cleaner

Official Wii lens cleaner

Pictured on the left is the new official Nintendo lens cleaner for Wii. If you've been having problems with playing your games, a dirty lens could be the cause.

This issue is particularly prominent with dual-layer discs like Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Big N previously had customers send their consoles in for cleaning, but now you can have a try yourself.

The lens cleaner is being released in Japan this month for 800 Yen ($7.80 USD at the current exchange rate). No details of an international release are available yet.

Good, I wonder if it shows you how to take apart the Wii, or if you insert the cleaner in the the disc slot.

I haven't had any problems so far so I don't care too much about the disc cleaner. I don't even know anyone that has the disk problem.

Just put in a regular dvd cleaner in it and it spins it enough to check the disk to clean the lens off. That is what we've done.
