Nintendo Power magazine recently conducted a poll asking readers which arcade games they'd love to see downloadable on the Virtual Console. The results came in, and they were thus:
Some great choices in there, TMNT would probably be my own #1. Realistically though, the odds of these games showing up are probably slim to none. Well I guess Donkey Kong has a good shot.
Which games would you have voted for?

How can Killer Instinct not be on this list?

I'm still praying for earth bound, and if possible Classic Fire Emblem games being brought to the US (they brought sin and punishment to the US through the VC so it's possible). I liked playing golden axe on my Genesis when I was young though so that I'm hoping for too.

The other day I was in San Francisco and at fisherman's wharf there's a really old arcade. I mean some of the coin operated machines were from the 19th century. But they had a video arcade area. I forgot how fun some of those games were. I think my personal favorite has to be the old Atari star wars game. That game was awesome. But I guess I can just play it with star wars rebel strike.

DONKEY KONG! Such a great game. If that comes on my dad might play video games with me again.

Did they ever think of putting the first Street Fighter on the VC? It was an arcade game and was available for the famicom. From what I heard it's nothing compared to Street fighter 2 on the SNES but eh. I'd also like to see Marvel Vs Capcom and Dark Stalkers.

Heh, hands down. I wanted to try Earthbound, and then relive the days of Super Snash Bros. Can't believe THAT wasn't up there. The US doesn't have it yet, after all.

I think that the tmnt games were the best, especially the arcade games 2 & 4.
