There have been rumors about this for some time, but Japanese magazine Famitsu are confirming that Project H.A.M.M.E.R has indeed been canceled.
Sad news for people who were looking forward to this one. It sounded promising too. Why, Nintendo?

In my opinion it was repetitive. Like kill all humans or something like that, just the basic run around kill enemies. It had a sad storyline.
