US console sales figures for the month of September 2008 are now in, courtesy of the NPD group. It should be no surprise by now, but Nintendo came out on top again. By a lot.

Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

Nintendo's money machine just keeps rolling and all on the strength of one decent game.

Just HOW many people can buy a Wii? It's almost about time that Nintendo's Wii inhabits everywhere. Then everyone will go buy another system. You know what I'm saying?

Wewt Wii almost has double Please Fix Me's sales.

I thought Wii got into a whole bunch of lawsuits. Huh. It still prevails. Wonder what will happen if people ACTUALLY bother to sue BS3 or Xbroke 360 by the way, Xbroke 360 doesn't make any sense at all. The owner of microsoft could care less if it sold less because he is obviously not broke.

Impressive, but predictable. I wonder when Nintendo will actually make a Star Fox game though.
MediumBlueMetallic said:
Monkey, xbroke refers to the "red ring of death" commonly and frequently associated with BROKEN 360s. The systems overheat and break all the time. Everyone I know who owns one has had theirs overheat and die. Glad to see the Wii momentum continue. If we could just get a few more good titles, I'd be even happier. I'm holding out for COD4, and the Quantum of Solace, also by Activision, which is supposedly running on the same engine as COD4. Both are online, both should have the best graphics yet on Wii. There hasn't been a good bond game since Goldeneye. I'm hoping Activision changes that.

As usual Nintendo pounds through all competition. @eoo there are still quite a lot of people without a Wii. I think my Wii is the only one in my neighborhood so it still has spreading to do.

An interesting thing to note is that there is about one ds for every two people in Japan. I think it's a 1:5 basis in USA. Oh and by the way, the internal fan of my Wii broke so it overheats all the time. Yet the console itself never breaks from it. Even when it's broken, the Wii still works better than the 360.
monkeylemur said:
Oh, xbroke as in breaking.. now I see! Thank you.

You know what? BS3 eats large crap.

Next month: CTRL+C (Nintendo smashes rivals). AGAIN! CTRL+V. Trust me, it will make your life much easier.

I guess many patent hungry lawsuits still haven't prevented the Wii from being a success. Still can't believe people are still buying the Wii today even when the Wii is already out for close to two years now.
Mr Game & Watch said:
I first came up with the BS3. Maybe next time you'll use my other one, PoS3 Heh heh.

Now I only hope that stupid PSP 3000 crap goes to hell for copying the ds lite.
