Sherlock Holmes Joins The Great Ace Attorney

Elementary, my dear Wright

The Ace Attorney series has always been known for having a unique and interesting cast of characters. The upcoming game, The Great Ace Attorney, will contain two of the most famous literary characters of all time! It has been reported that none other than Sherlock Holmes and Watson will be guest starring in this latest installment.

According to Game Jouhou, the famous sleuth will be more or less the same. His sidekick, Dr. Watson, will be an "8 year old literary girl named Iris Watson" (instead of the world-renown adult male doctor). Seems like a rather odd change... perhaps the developers are trying to introduce a Professor Layton / Luke team to the series.

It also introduces a new gameplay element called "Joint Reasoning." This will allow players to point out where Holmes is taking his reasoning, in order to solve the game's mysteries.

Capcom is expected to show the game at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, but it's already teased the silhouettes of these two new characters on the game's official website.
