SNES Classic Controller available

SNES Classic Controller available

The SNES-styled Classic Controller previously limited to Club Nintendo members in Japan is now available to buy online.

16-bit is enough?

Unfortunately these things are fetching a high price, probably due to rarity. Play-Asia has them in stock but they're going for USD $74.90. Too steep?

You can buy a Wii remote and a classic controller cheaper. $75 is too steep, but people who love snes controllers may like it.

I guess this wouldn't work with Brawl.

Maybe I should get one when I go to japan (if I can even find one that is). Play-Asia has a lot of japan club Nintendo exclusives and they usually go for a high price.

If it said "Super Nintendo Entertainment System" I might consider the purchase worthy.

I may buy this just to play some good 2D games (retail, VC, GCN, and/or WiiWare) on the Wii. There's nothing quite like playing a fighting game like MK: Armageddon, Soul Calibur II, Samurai Shodown II, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, Super Metroid, Super Street Fighter II, and every good Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Earthworm Jim, Ristar, Metal Slug, and a bunch of other games Super NES style. It'll be weird playing a Sonic game with a SNES controller though but at least it'll feel classic. Still I'm waiting to see if Sega ever made a Sega Genesis six-buttons classic controller for the Wii so we could enjoy those classic Genesis games the way they were meant to be played.
