Sonic Wild Fire renamed

Sonic Wild Fire renamed

Sonic Wild Fire is never to see the light of day! No cause for alarm though, Team Sonic announced earlier that the game has in fact just been renamed to Sonic and the Secret Rings. Our pages have been updated accordingly. Call me crazy but I think Wild Fire had a better ring to it (pun).

Wild Fire seems more memorable to me, but I guess it's the gameplay that wins out in the end anyway.

I don't really like the new name it's kind of weird in its way. But now we know we have to get special rings.

I like the new name. I hope they have the same screenshots like stages for wildfire.

Well look at the Wii, if they renamed the Revolution to the Wii and still everyone wants to get one I believe you can do the same with Sonic and the Secret Rings.

First Wii, now Secret Rings! Nintendo just keeps throwing these different names at us! It's not a bad thing though, it keeps us gamers on our feet.

Kind of weird, but okay. Wild Fire didn't make THAT much sense so.

That was a brilliant pun but I agree, Wild Fire was a better name but we'll adapt. I mean, we've accepted that the system is called the Wii, we'll eventually accept this one to be called the Secret Rings. Oh and Lickwid? Sonic is Sega property so they thought up the awkward name, not Nintendo.

I guess I overlooked that, nice catch Darunia. If Nintendo was any way involved, something like this should be expected.

Lickwind Nintendo didn't make the name for Secret Rings, it was Sega that named it.

Wow that's a mature kind of name. Especially where sonic is going to find those rings if you know what I mean.

Wild Fire sounded cool, but I doubt I'll be worrying over the new name once I'm beating up Badniks.

Guys how could you think Wild Fire was a cool name when there were so many going on, all over Arizona.

Does the name matter that much?

Well the system it's on is called the Wii. So SSBB Fan, I guess you're right.

This reminds me of how I first felt when I heard about the name change from Revolution to Wii.

I personally don't like the name Wii, it sounds babyish.

That's the point. Everybody is supposed to be able to play it.

What really matters is that the name goes with the game. The title should tell a little bit about the game or it would not make sense.

Wild Fire sounds better.

I'm betting this game won't be that good. Based on the screenshots and descriptions, it's like the bonus levels of Sonic 2 and you control it by tilting. Doesn't sound that fun. A linear 3d game where in order to beat it, you've got to lean left or right. BORING! Let's hope I'm just heavily mistaken.

Why the hell did they change their cool name to a dorky name. Secret rings are the obvious things that would be in a Sonic game.

Sonic Wild Fire did sound hella better, but, it didn't really have much to do with the game. And the new title, Sonic and the Secret Rings is too generic and.. childish. There SOA (Sega of America) goes again, gearing Sonic towards toddlers. Oh well. The deed is done.
