The next game in the famed Tony Hawk series has been announced. It's called Tony Hawk's Proving Ground and is heading to Wii as well as the DS.
Proving Ground aims to give the most immersing skating experience yet, including more customization options than ever seen before. You develop your character's appearance, story and skating style based on choices you make as the game progresses
Along the way your character will skate on the proving grounds of places like Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC. Also featured is a video editor, allowing you to make your own skate videos. The game is set for a Fall release.

Yes a proper tony hawk game for Wii, sweet.

Let's just hope they don't screw it up like DownHill Jam.
Jubby said:
Awesome, I've been waiting for a proper Tony Hawk's on Wii.
Wiipaw said:
This sounds a lot like a certain other Tony Hawk game.
crazy tape said:
Is this tonk hawk's 900? And still spinning or a different game?
Wii Freak said:
So this going to be the second tony hawk game for the Wii.
Splintercell4ever said:
Alright, skating around the National Mall in DC. Imagine guys trying to clear the pool.
Elementrat said:
Yes! A fully-fledged Hawk game. Not a lame spinoff. Downhill Jam really wasn't what anyone was looking for. Hopefully the developers put a little time into the Wii build to make it compelling. Simply porting a game onto Wii doesn't work so well as we have seen. Developers really need to take the time to figure out what works best.

Sounds interesting. I haven't played a good Tony Hawk game since Underground 1, and before that it was THPS:2. Let's hope this game brings back the series in a positive fashion.

Finally an awesome tony hawk Wii game that might actually beat wasteland.

Finally a real tony hawk game for wii. Let's hope it carries on the sweet moves from project 8, except better.
Kool said:
I just rented downhill jam, and it's not that good. I'm psyched for this new real tony hawk game.
metroid lover said:
Activision and Neversoft better not screw this game by giving us ps2 graphics and bad controls.
HAWK FAN said:
I hope because the Wii version's not by activision it's not a lame spinoff with no real quality.
amanda said:
Hope the controls are decent.
hoping said:
Here's hoping that this game has wi-fi. If it does then this will be one of the best games for Wii when it comes out. If it doesn't, then it's just another tony hawk game with pretty graphics.
Joe said:
I want a Tony Hawk wi-fi game, I have been waiting for this for years! Downhill Jam is ok but proving ground should be good, but only if it's wi fi.
SK8 4 life said:
I am a skater in real life and have collected every last skater game, and tony hawk's proving ground looks sweet! But I wonder how it will compete with skate? Oh well Nintendo is miles better than ps3 and xbox 360 put together, YES (wonder what the controls may be like?).
Savage said:
How exactly are we supposed to play the game? The classic controller? Right?
sam456 said:
This game is too confusing and a little hard. Right now I am stuck on this kickflip over a gap at the beginning of the game and I land it every time but it never counts it. Someone help me out here, it's so stupid.
Graydon said:
When do you get to make a video? Do you have to be 100% done on the game or something?

Do you get to make a video on Wii?
nacho said:
Sam456 you need to aggro kick, kickflip.
jdizzle said:
Can't wait until Christmas now. I've finished all the others on sick so I'm hoping this one is easier. I'll be on this and guitar hero 3 forever.
matt said:
I'm stuck on the same thing as sam456. Very frustrating. I do a perfect kickflip every time but for some reason it doesn't count it.
hornet said:
Hey can some one please tell me how to land a kick flip on the Wii please greatly appreciated. Hornet.
Guitar Hero God 1 said:
I thought the Wii version sucks so bad. It had no video editor, and not even nail the manual.
jah said:
Stuck on the kickflip over the gap too. Nothing seems to work. I even tried different tricks and timing them just right. Looks like a bug.
Jan said:
To sam456 you can't nail the trick then it fails.
peanut jelly said:
I'm stuck on the fourth part of hardcore skating when you aggro kick and kickflip across and land on the building. I don't want to be stupid but I can't aggro kick on the Wii. I have it on the Wii and I flick my Wii Remote up every push he makes but it won't do anything! So if you know how to aggro kick, please tell me then I'll move up a level and beat all three goals.
Tyler said:
Gamestop is awesome. I was buying Downhill Jam and it was used. Instead of giving us Downhill Jam I got this instead. It is pretty tight. Was Downhill Jam that bad?
alex said:
What button(s) do you push after performing a trick to successfully "LAND it"?!? No instruction anywhere on how to land it. I fall every time. Help.
