Imagineering, a Walt Disney company has recently been trying out a scheme using the Nintendo DS as a means of helping visitors enjoy the Disney World theme park.
The idea is that users can bring their DS handhelds into the park and use them as an interactive guide and map. Some possible features being considered are:
Sounds potentially useful to me.

That's a smart idea. That's another million sales for Nintendo.

Well seems like Disney has a few tricks up their sleeves. Probably trying to get people familiar with the idea of Disney games being on the DS before the release of the next Kingdom Hearts game for the DS.

I like the sound of that. If only major cities could make something like this for easy navigation.

I'm impressed with this kind of feature.

That is an absolutely brilliant idea. It's Disney waiting to happen. Maybe they can include a pseudo GPS application by using the WiFi towers around Disney World to help people to get a general idea of their location. Now if the DS can help me find Walt Disney's frozen head.

Well, that would definitely bring in some money for Big N. Disney is big. And, I'll inevitably be going to Disney World, so this would be awesome if it were worked out in like.. oh, a year and a half?

That's useful because you can check the food and hopefully prices to see if a restaurant is bad or not, so you don't spend 3 hours walking there then they have crap.

That would be a good idea to Disney World visitors.

Do you think that Disney using the DS in their park like this could increase Sora's chances in Brawl?

This is simply AMAZING! This just proves the success of the DS. And it proves the supremecy of the ds to the PSP.

I wouldn't be surprised if they started selling DS systems inside the park for just that purpose.

Pro: probably will be easier to read than the paper maps. Con: idiots will lose their DS on the high-velocity rides, or it will be stolen by another idiot who doesn't have a DS.

That's pretty awesome.

Here's an idea: They could give you a security box or locker to put your DS in when you go on rides.

Much better than the libraries using Wii idea.

Disney channel almost takes over everything and seems to only talk about itself.

That's sweet, everywhere should do that. EVERYWHERE. Hmmm. Google maps on the ds anyone?

They would probably have ds download stations around the park, like in the stores to download the software.
