This past weekend, the winner of the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate weapon design contest in the Americas was announced to be Agent Spectre.

The winning design belongs to the new weapon class, the insect glaive, that was introduced in Monster Hunter 4. Check it out:

It was also announced on Saturday that the Hero's Garb (yes, Link's Tunic), along with the Master Sword and Hylian Shield (as a sword and shield class), along with the Light Bow, will all be present as event weapons in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate:

Yuri Araujo, the Capcom employee responsible for posting this news on the Capcom-Unity website, also stated that these were not the only goodies we would see in MH4U:

...let me say this: we have more special equipment like this planned for the title. Don't ask me what they are, because I can't say, but expect more news soon!
