The Wii is set to be released in Singapore this week. Unfortunately it will be sold at retail in a bundle costing the equivalent of $649. And it's not a big bundle either, just one additional game (Sonic and the Secret Rings) and an extra controller. Distribution in the country will be handled by Maxsoft and not Nintendo themselves.
So if you're in Singapore, and you're not poor... rejoice!

Man, I haven't heard of Singapore being mentioned in months, maybe years. Where is it even at? Europe or Africa?

I live in New York and I went to Circuit City and got me a bundle. The last one! It included the Wii, Zelda TP, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and a VC Controller equalling $370!

Singaporeans in the know should just import. It's the obvious choice for this situation.

Scooby Jew, What!? You don't know where Singapore is? It is in Asia. Near China. Look at a map *forgives due to funny name*.
singapore meh said:
Near China? Dude that's like saying alaska is near texas. It's like 2000 miles away from china. Singapore, South east asia, right next to Malaysia.

Now I am thinking of Wii but so expensive. I think I will have to pay myself instead of parents. Haix. So how much does that really cost?

Shouldn't you date this since you wrote "this week" and I don't get "which" week you're referring to? No freaking date.

Scooby Jew- are you American? And belong to the category in which about 95% Americans fall: the ones who never had a passport?! Get a life. And a world map.
The Smarter One said:
The "Smart" One- I'm an American and live in Singapore, so it's fine to diss Scooby Jew for being ignorant, but you look just as ignorant when you slam all Americans.
The Cdn in SG said:
Are we kidding - Sg is so totally over priced. AND no one cares. Buy one abroad.
latipon said:
Why does stuff in sg sold at an unreasonable price!? I really don't get it. Every time something new comes out, sg will shoot the price up. Are we being typecast or something. Hmm one wonders.

Can any dude advise if a US Wii console can be used in Singapore, in particular due to "for use in USA only" restrictions, NTSC vs PAL tv systems, Singapore wiimote add-ons, availability of compatible dics in Singapore.
