At the E3 Conference a follow-up to the immensely popular Wii Sports has been announced by Nintendo.
It's called Wii Sports Resort, the Wii MotionPlus accessory we talked about yesterday will come bundled in with the game. This gives 1:1 motion, meaning your exact movements will be used in-game. A longer Wiimote jacket will also be included in the package.
Wii Sports Resort is set to come out in Spring 2009.

I'm kind of surprised that the big N can't find a way to fit the technology of the the Wii MotionPlus inside of the Wii Remotes. While I don't think that extra length of the controller using a MotionPlus will be anything to worry about, I think that the overall look is definitely better as an all-in-one unit. I think that Nintendo could make BIG bucks if they opted to sell BOTH the Wii MotionPlus accessory, and a NEW Will Remote Version 2 that includes the Wii MotionPlus technology inside without the need of a plug-in accessory. People who have the money will easily pluck down the dough for totally new remotes. People who don't want to spend the cash will be able to pick up the cheaper accessory. Why not do this?

Hopefully it's cheap, I don't see how they could justify charging more than $20 or $30 for this. Wii Sports is fun but not worth a full game price.
