Sales figures for the month of April 2009 are in, as tracked by the supercool NPD Group. Note these numbers include the US only.

1. Nintendo DS - 1,040,000
2. Nintendo Wii - 340,000
3. Xbox 360 - 175,000
4. Sony PS Triple - 127,000
5. PSP - 116,000

So the DSi has really given Nintendo a shot in the arm when it comes to handheld units. For other machines, sales are markedly down across the board, most likely due to the financial turmoil this crazy world is in.

In terms of software, Nintendo is looking good there too:
