Wii Fit

Here's the supposed Japanese box art for Wii Fit. It's a plain one.

Why don't they have a fat person on there? Skinny people don't need Wii Fit to stay in shape.

Nice. I always love the Wii-esque box arts.

Personally I don't think it'll do well. They would do better releasing something like Dance Revolution instead of something which tells you just how to exercise (YAWN!).

It doesn't have a fat person because they want to show you what you could become.

I agree with scooby jew, I mean come on get a fat guy. And I hope that's not for US release.

I thought we play video games to NOT sweat.

"Skinny people" can be underweight. And have less muscle mass.

They're probably going to incorporate your Mii in it somehow, then make it Wi-Fi so you can exercise with other people and their Miis.

You're right, Aeth. It won't do well. Until 3rd parties start developing with the balance board. Hopefully, we'll see some good snow/skateboarding games.

I agree with aeth but I have a feeling it will be good in japan.

Don't count out Wii Fit, I expect it to be a huge hit with the casual gamers and people who want to get in better shape. Something like Wii Sports.

I think they have a skinny person to show that it helps and doesn't make you fat.

Kind of looks like they have a few Yoga positions on the cover, I don't know about all of you but I can honestly say that I don't bend some of those ways.

Being skinny has nothing to do with being in shape. I'm 210 pounds and can jog two miles in less than fourteen minutes and do 40 dips in a row. Meanwhile, a skinny friend of mine can't do a single dip and he can't keep up with me running. This is because I work out and he just started, but it just goes to show that anyone who doesn't exercise is pretty much out of shape. Fitness and weight loss are two very different things, and I think this game is more about improving fitness- not shedding off pounds.

Also point out, at launch wasn't excercise the reason we were all using for why the Wii would be so great?

It's a bit too plain. Mind you I bet it comes in a box with the balance board. Maybe they should get a celebrity to endorse the game and be on the front cover to attract non-gamers.

The soccer game in Wii fit looks fun. I think the board will be awesome with other games though, like snowboarding, etc.

It prints money AND self esteem.

I heard there's to be a Wii Fit Channel where you share your stats and stuff with others over Wi-Fi. By the way a date hasn't been set but don't count it out just yet.

This might finally be the end all solution to all those "Lose Weight Quick" scams and the bogus exercise equipment. What Nintendo should do is include online leaderboards and community features built into the WiiFit system. Why get fit solo when you can get fit with a friend! Oh wait, friend codes.

This could get creative.

I agree with Dave. I myself am very skinny, and I'm pretty weak (I am NOT an anorexic though). And seriously you guys; fat people don't exactly look the most attractive, so why would anyone want to look at a fat dude on the cover? Heck, it'd probably be insulting to many, though some of you don't seem to think so.

I read a lot of people talking on these gaming sites about how the balance board will suck unless they come out with skating/snowboarding games. I disagree, I think that the 'gaming world' is the minority of Wii owners. Wii Sports is what's made the Wii take off like crazy. Of all the people I know with a Wii, I'm the only one who has bought games other than Wii Sports. Most serious gamers dismiss it as the 'demo game' that you get for free. The majority of people like the Wii because it's different from the rest and easy to learn. The balance board appears to fit that idea and I think games that stay in that genre will be best sellers.

I was impressed with the fact that the Wii can be very interactive. I've played it and had fun. Sore arms and shoulders from boxing, but was fun. This WiiFit board, yes it's just another way to keep fit, and some people may think they've seen this before, but I think it will take gaming to another level for sure. I can't wait to go skiing on one. Bring on the Wii. Look Forward to seeing what else comes out for the Wii, and games for the Wii Board.
