Wii's World is not officially affiliated with Nintendo! (but they wish we were).

I'm #20! Maybe.

I'll get one because I don't already have a ds.
SkullHydra said:
The DS Lite wasn't enough of a change to the original DS, but the DSi is (what does the I stand for?).
wiiboy101 said:
I'm a maybe kind of guy, love it to bits but I have a newish silver ds lite and a new Wii. Oh god I want one.
Wii Rox said:
Finally the DS gets more advanced, take that PSP fanboys, although the lack of a GBA port is going to bug me.
Zendalf said:
I've got the original, and it's good enough for me.
Aeth said:
I agree with Zendalf, I have my plain DS Lite and I'm okay with it.
YoshLee said:
I've already heard about the DSi, I am most likely getting it but the no GBA port is annoying and many of these features seem unnecessary but I like the idea of a DS ware. It'll be interesting expanding the use of Wii points.
gamer guru said:
GBA games are (no offense GBA lovers) lame compared to DS, and to tell the truth, this is WORTH IT!
Ian C said:
I'll just stay with my ds lite. Yes it does have a camera and all that, but come on, no gba port. I can't get guitar hero on tour with this.
wiiboy101 said:
IT'S ONE IN THE I FOR SONY. no no yes no no funny not funny, ok I'll get my coat.
Nova said:
I have this thing where I feel like I need to get the latest stuff (hypnotic) so I'll be getting this.
Nintendoof said:
It's really cool, but I'm still on the borderline. Nintendo will have to convince me BIG time to get this one though.
smashbro said:
I have the original and was thinking of upgrading to a lite but I guess I'll wait a year for DSi.
eye said:
I don't like the new color scheme. It looks cheap. I like the glossy color scheme from the ds lite.
BrothaZ said:
I had the original and sold it. I still have my black lite and am going to keep it for GBA and Guitar Hero, but yeah I'm definitely getting this.
Diddy Kong Lover said:
I'm perfectly happy with my GBA compatible DS which actually has a power button. I'm sorry but the idea of a switch in these days sucks. Though I'd love built in Opera browser.

I was planning on getting a DS lite after my phat is all crappy, but this has changed my plans.
Mike said:
I think the problem is that the screen is bigger. Yet that already really small resolution is the same as ever, at least until Nintendo releases the full specs.
Maddy said:
I upgraded to the Lite because it was so much better than the original, but I'm not getting this. Nintendo should work on something different instead of releasing yet another 'updated' DS.
Quartz said:
I have the original DS and it's awesome.
Zendalf said:
Actually, I may upgrade if it does end up coming out in the States in the end of '09, mostly because it's got the built in web browser. We'll see.
Guus said:
I must have one... now!
Nuclear milk said:
I won't get the Dsi because it's just a ds with a camera and some upgrades. The ds lite still has some life in it, Nintendo should wait to market this product.
man said:
I can't believe everyone's all "I'm fine with ds lite" like it's not enough to change. Then why do you think anyone ever bought a ds lite? It's the same as a phat ds just smaller and brighter.
JRAPOCALYPSE said:
Nope! Waste of money for something I already got. I don't need some little outdated camera when I have a nice canon at my disposal.
Nintendoof said:
Actually I changed my mind. I will not be getting the DSi at all. I really don't think it's worth it. My lite is fine. And man, to answer your question: Getting an upgraded version is fine, but the second upgraded version? Isn't one upgrade enough? The lite was much brighter than the original. Plus it had a slide power switch. As opposed to the previous one. Which was dim lighted and a power button everyone could turn on (mostly talking about little kids). The DSi does not have necessities I need. Camera, web browsing, and SD card are cool, but I don't need it. So I'm fine with my lite. The DSi is not for me.
Quartz said:
SkullHydra, DSi means "Dual-Screen, and 'i' is a cool letter now because Apple's products are successful!".
Nintendoof said:
"i" stands for internet.
wolvesgod said:
Wow! I'll get one but just because the GBA port isn't there doesn't mean GHWT isn't playable. The DS-I does have the DSware, like Wiiware, and which the Guitar Hero game might be purchasable in the download station. And don't forget there is also the DSshop you might be able to buy the GBA games there. Nintendo might have thought it all out, maybe.
palamon said:
Eer-um MAYBE I'll get the dsi.
natey said:
I want good graphics. The psp is better because it has better graphics and what is so cool about having a camera on the ds. I have a camera on my phone and I hardly ever use it.
felixnrevo said:
Definitely, as I didn't get a DS lite, and for the fact it's packed with features- camera, music support, built in internet.
A Zelda Fan said:
I have the original DS and it is a little faulty, so I probably will.
nintendo noob said:
I might, I've got a DS lite and I want to upgrade but the new DSi is WAY too expensive for me! I'll probably stick with the DS lite.
Game lover said:
My mum's already said yes to buying me one in spring, she's preordering it when it comes out, but I might wait because I got a pink ds when they came out. And then ds lites came out, so I got a white one, then new colours came out so I got a blue. Now dsi's are coming out so I don't want to have like 4 ds's so I might wait to see if they bring out new colours.
insultman911 said:
The I stands for inalantidelusionalablipastikistan never mind, I don't know what it stands for. Some people move on and keep moving forward. Some people are old fashioned and stay behind. It doesn't really matter. Part of my ds broke, and it's not a ds lite. I don't need to waste money on a lighter screen. Just go play under a light. I don't need a dsi. I'm spending my money on something that has life. A dog.
wow said:
Maybe, because it's not much different from the DS lite and it has very few new stuff, if my DS breaks I will get the DSi.
TOP said:
Who wouldn't get the DSI! I'm surprised they went this far with the DS.
WiiDude said:
Well duh I would get one. Bigger screens, A CAMERA! Internet browser, no gba port but yeah I'd get one.
Dvorak user said:
Nah, I think I'll give it a miss. Although having a DS, DS lite and DSi all in the same room does sound pretty cool.
Nintenjosh said:
This must be had, NOW.
Wildman said:
I need to get one of these. My old DS phat's top screen completely died and its battery lasts for less than 6 hours! This would be a very nice upgrade for me now that my old DS is gone.
Mat said:
For anyone wondering why people bought a DS lite after the original DS came out - it's because we waited! We didn't buy the original.
wii cloud9 said:
I got the original, USED! I'm definitely getting this one.
Nintendo4ever said:
I don't know yet. I got a DS lite and it has all I need. Surely the Dsi has got much more things, so I'll think about it.
John said:
Probably not. The only reason to get a DSi over the Lite is for the downloadable games library and judging by Nintendo's WiiWare library, that probably will not hold up.
Lay-Z Boy said:
I would not. Only for the fact that I cannot get online connection.
Peter said:
Realistically who hasn't got a camera on their phone and an mp3 player or iPod. It's basically selling you what you already have. This is why Nintendo is genius and will continue to dominate the portable market.
Manaphy Fan said:
I'll probably get one, because I'd have to pay $50-60 just to get the non-responsive L button on my DS Lite repaired since my 1 year warranty expired. Might as well save some more money and get the upgrade. The online shop looks cool and hopefully we'll be able to download GBA games (and hopefully an official release of Mother 3 in America if they release Earthbound on Wii's Virtual Console and it becomes successful).
Murkrow said:
The DSI seems promising. I would also like the possibility of seeing SSBB on this system.
The Yoshi Guy said:
SSBB? No way. Even if they do release a SSB for DSi, which I doubt, it would be called Super Smash Bros DS. Anyway, to the guy that said the power button is inferior to the power switch: WRONG. I have a DS Lite that has busted speakers and a broken switch. I would prefer a button. And one upgrade is NOT enough. Not to keep up with Sony. Sony released 3 PSPs, so why wouldn't Nintendo release 3 DS's?
legendhunter17 said:
I'm getting it and also keeping my ds lite so I can still play gba port related games.
Peter said:
Why keep your ds? If you want to play gba sell your lite and get a gba for $30 or whatever they are now.
wiiman said:
The dsi will sell twice as many ds lites.
JTS said:
It's not worth it. The picture quality sucks and you can't even use Action Replay DS on it.
Barney said:
Yes, because if you go to *any* Game store with your DS Lite, you get a DSi half price. And I'd much rather have a DSi then a DS lite.
austin said:
Nope I'm getting a 3DS.
Dssellerbyminenow said:
I'm selling a ds but idk what it's worth! I would rather have a 3ds.
james braselton said:
Why buy the ds or dsi when Nintendo 3ds is very close to getting released March 27.
