Ah the last game to be released on the sega master system in the US. It was done so great on the all-powerful master system for its time! I have this on cart complete, so anyone who loves Sonic I say download this game. I actually enjoy Sonic 1 more on the master system more than I do on the sega genesis.

Is this better than the Game Gear version?

This game is actually the same game as the Game Gear version. The only differences between them is that the Game Gear version features a close zoom-in camera perspective, faster speed, and more colorful (256 colors) graphics, whereas this version had a unique widescreen camera, normal speed with no slowdown and less colorful (64 colors) graphics.
