So got to get this game for my virtual console. I hate Mario honestly but his games just scream Play Me.
i need a wii...eww said:
The first game I'm gonna get on vc. This is an absolutely amazing game.
Captain Jamesman said:
This is one of my most favorite video games in history! I hope they have enhancements for this version.
PHiRE said:
Definitely one I'm getting, I missed out on N64.
Wii-Worshiper said:
Had this game on my N64 and I'm going to get it again.
Ja-Mez said:
Mario's a tree hugger he he. Super Mario 64, the first game with Mario in 3D. Inspiring.
zsnesfreak said:
I still have it for my STILL working N64 so I'm not going to get it sadly.
Wii wnt to play!!! said:
Rock on Mario. Let's party.
wii-mote dude said:
Ah yes, the game that defined 3D platforming. I've got it for my N64 and my DS, so I'm not going to need it here. Totally awesome game though.
unluckylink13 said:
Yay for the first 3d game in america! I'm actually not going to download it, but it was an amazing game!
No name said:
I downloaded it!
Ekaj185 said:
This game is good but I have it for my DS so the first VC game I'll get is Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie (two best games ever). And I just bought an Xbox360 so I could play all the Rare games I'm missing out on (please don't hang me, Playstation is 25X worse than any console).
wiilover said:
Have it on DS.
Yoshi-1up said:
I have the N64 and the DS version. I beat the game probably 20 times by now. But I'll probably download this on the Wii as well AND beat it again!
shadowagent 0 said:
So what if I have the other two? New controller? New challenge!
robert said:
Young people are funny lol. I'm 19, I've been through it all.
Wii man2 said:
I love that game!
The Lone Wulf said:
Hehe! At 19 been through it all! I can still remember the Atari 2600 at its height of popularity. Combat, 'nuff said. Anywho, yeah this will be my first one!
Crimson Demon said:
I love this game!
Toad!!! said:
Yeah I didn't get far. It was a bit confusing, but most Mario games are easy for me!
Hey said:
Ewww Banjo Kazooie. Rare definitely isn't my favorite developer.
Toad!!! said:
First of all this is super mario 64. And what the heck is wrong with banjo kazooie.
PS3 & xbox hater said:
I have this game of the n64 and it is awesome. I'm getting it for my Wii when I get it.
New Wii-land said:
I have an unfortunate confession to make after playing super mario 64 I got myself super mario bros on DS and Mario Sunshine for gamecube. Still hate the little blue and red plumber but his games have captured my wallet I mean heart.
Wii Freak said:
I used to play this game all the time when I got the N64. Then I got bored. When the DS came out I got Super mario 64 DS. Then I got bored again. But not this time!
i need a wii...eww said:
If you have only got this on the Nintendo ds, get this one because with the ds they ruined it, its not a classic. My cousin has this for his N64 but his controller doesn't work well, and I don't even like the controller shapes, so maybe for the first time I can play this game properly.
Captain Jamesman said:
The only thing different about the N64 & DS versions is that: DS, it had not just Mario, but Yoshi, Luigi & Wario. It had a few more stages, it had 150 stars and more bosses. N64, 120 Stars, Yoshi gives you more lives after mastering the game and the graphics weren't as good as DS. But I still think this game is great!
Gonzo said:
This game is hot. It has better graphics than the other VC games.
megasamus said:
I can't wait to do the stair glitch, yay!
Quimby said:
What star glitch?
LOZfan said:
Until the legend of zelda: ocarina of time comes out, this is the best game on the virtual console.
Toad said:
What's a star glitch?
Captain Jamesman said:
What megasamus is saying is the endless stairs thing, you know, the one that leads to the final stage, but will remain unreachable until you get 70 Stars.
Ryan said:
Got it for n64 and DS, don't really need it for Wii.
Vgcrazy said:
Dude, I got this game on N64 and DS. I can't wait to get it on Wii!
Captain Jamesman said:
I lost my 64 version of this game many years ago. Even though I already have this game for DS, I'll get this game offa Wii!
Unknown said:
How do you do the stair glitch?
wiiman said:
This is on vc? I definitely need to buy Wii points but do you need a classic controller?
Ian C. said:
Have on DS but I'll download it anyway.
Captain Jamesman said:
Unknown, I just said! You need less than 70 freaking stars! I've completed this game like 20 times already. I know all about super mario 64.
Gonzo said:
I've played this on DS, I wish I could play it again.
Captain Jamesman said:
Why can't you Gonzo?
Wii Freak said:
I hope they get Banjo-Kazooie and banjo-Tooie for the VC. I bet all of you are hoping that too. I know you are.
Wii Freak said:
I really wish that Nintendo would put Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie on the VC.
chanus said:
This was my first and only vc game.
Matt said:
It won't let me play it with my gamecube controller.
Captain Jamesman said:
Dood, Wii Freak, you said that twice already. And believe me, it ain't going to happen. Know why, because Rare doesn't work with Nintendo no more. They work with micriosoft now, in other words, BK games on Xbox. Sorry if you're depressed with this. I am too, but life goes on, and we have to deal with it.
Wii Freak said:
I know, Microsoft bought rare for $360,000,000 that's a lot!
B. Darius said:
If you ask me, Rare shoulda just stayed with Nintendo. I mean seriously. What X-Box owner is going to play Viva Pinata?!
Captain Jamesman said:
Amen!
Wii Freak said:
Bring Rare back Nintendo! Buy them for $370,000,000. That'll bring em back.
c-man said:
This game rules but you know when you climb the stairs in the castle, has anybody got to the top or is it impossible?
B. Darius said:
Are you stupid? You have to get 70 stars first.
Captain Jamesman said:
I hope they have Mario Party 1-3 on VC!
Gonzo said:
Matt (my name is Matthew), you have to play with the virtual console controller.
B. Darius said:
Yo Jamesman, I was thinking the same thing too! But then I said, “Forget it. I'm getting 'Mario Party 8' anyway”.
Wii Freak said:
It's hard to find a bad game with Mario in it.
awsome said:
I loved this game. I hope you can still stretch his face in the beginning!
B. Darius said:
I JUST found out that Tim & Chris Stamper the founders of Rare, have LEFT Rare to pursue "other opportunities". Now that they're gone, who knows, maybe Rare will go back to Nintendo?
Captain Jamesman said:
SERIOUSLY!? If so, THEN THIS COULD BE A MIRACLE! However, I heard on a website that Microsoft might buy out Capcom of Japan. Curse those Microsoft Bastards! Someone has got to put a stop to this. All 3rd Party companies should only work with all 1st Party companies, NOT JUST ONE!
B. Darius said:
I think they already bought Capcom, seeing that Lost Planet is on the 360.
Captain Jamesman said:
Well, at least they didn't buy Capcom of US. There are still Capcom games that are coming out for other systems. For example, SNK VS Capcom Card Fighter DS and Capcom Puzzle World!
Sonic Fan said:
Let's hope it goes to Nintendo. I just loved StarFox Adventures.
Captain Jamesman said:
You mean Rare? Oh I swear to god I hope that Rare comes back to fully making Nintendo games. I mean, helping out with portables is not enough.
B Darius said:
I know right?! Banjo & Conker didn't even appear in "Diddy Kong Racing: DS"!
Captain Jamesman said:
Exactly!
Toad said:
The booklet just talks about moves. Nothing about the game!
Luigi said:
One of my favorites of old times.
Wii Freak said:
There was a rumor that Luigi was an unlockable character in this game.
Captain Jamesman said:
From what I heard, it was a hoax. They even made a fake screenshot of a Luigi-like Mario. You think we're that dumb? (I'm not saying that to you Wii Freak). But yeah, people like to trick us like that.
B Darius said:
No, people WANTED Luigi to appear in the game, but then was later put on the DS version, along with Yoshi & Wario.
Wii Freak said:
Also in super mario 64 DS there was a rumor that waluigi was unlockable.
Ryan said:
It still works for my n64 but I got it for the vc so that it will go anywhere my Wii goes and for the convenience.
Captain Jamesman said:
And like I said Wii Freak, it's a Hoax. I see these things with me own eyes, and it's false. I mean, I saw a screenshot of a false Waluigi in a fake screenshot. Waluigi would NOT look like what I saw. And you're right B Darius, Luigi was wanted, but wasn't gotten until SM64DS.
Wii Freak said:
Nintendo needs to make a game where Bowser Jr gets kidnapped by Mario and Bowser has to save him.
Captain Jamesman said:
It'd be cool if there was a game where Mario & Luigi were transported to an anime-like world.
Captain Jamesman said:
Hey, I just found out that Paper Mario is going to be put on VC.
Shyho said:
Why didn't they include the one with the DS features? This is a good game, but such a tease.
Sonic Fan said:
If they put Yoshi's Island on the vc, I will never buy it. Why? Those pirahna plants scared the hell out of me when I was little. And I will not play that game again.
Andrew said:
I hope some rich man that loves Nintendo buys rare back to Nintendo because xbox is just lame, no one likes it, that's why they bought rare. If I ever saw that Goofball BILL GATES I swear I would just throw a pie in his face. XBOX? More like SHITBOX.
Wii Freak said:
Hopefully Rare would put Banjo Kazooie 3 on the DS.
B Darius said:
Speaking of which, I haven't heard from "Rare" in a long time. Maybe they decided to stop making games.
Toad said:
Nintendo bought it I believe.
cool person said:
I have this game for ds.
Nintendoof said:
Wii Freak, Microsoft already showed the trailer for Banjo Kazooie 3 on the 360. I know I'm disappointed too. Stupid Microsoft.
insultman911 said:
64 ds is better, but longer.
insultman911 said:
I've always wanted to play this game when I got the instruction booklet from my sisters friend, but I got it on ds so it won't matter.
a said:
You don't need the instruction book to play a game! Just work out the buttons.
mugen senshi valis said:
Rare is better off with Nintendo anyway. Microsoft are a bunch of wannabe posers they have no right to be in the game biz. Well I'm off to take a dump on all xbox360.
Nemo said:
Mama-mia I love this game, but how do you save on the VC so you don't have to start from the beginning every time!?
Wii Freak said:
Does anyone notice that the trees aren't 3d.
Captain Jamesman said:
I guess those trees are 2-D sprites.
davyt 0247 said:
Have the DS version. Definitely downloading this. I didn't get to play it on the N64 because I don't have an N64.
Rags said:
I like the DS version better (because it has Luigi!), but this game brings back so many memories.
super mario fan 64 said:
I want a ds so I can get the ds version.
Nintenjosh said:
Best game on n64 ever.
Son Ninja said:
I never thought that the sequel to this game didn't come until this generation. Of course Super Mario Sunshines is a good game but it doesn't had the epic platforming glory to this game and Super Mario Galaxy.
Wii Guy said:
Love this game.
#1 Mario Fan said:
This game is a fun game I have on my 64, but it is not as good as galaxy.
Pokemaniac said:
I've wanted this game on my n64 since I was about 6. Now I have it on my virtual console for Wii.
Diddy Kong Lover said:
Sniff best Mario game ever, I remember playing this when I was 3 and getting freaked out at everything. This even trumps Super Mario Sunshine heck even Super Mario Bros 2, which despite being criticized are actually better than others.
