Cooking Mama: Cook Off

"Since its introduction last month, Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS has won people over with its fun, addictive gameplay and innovative use of the Touch Screen," said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing. "Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Wii console similarly integrates the unique Wii Remote while layering on new features-including multiplayer and a full range of international cuisine-that fans are hungry for."

Making special use of the Wii Remote, Cooking Mama: Cook Off is an entertaining blend of mashing, slicing, chopping and stirring as players create more than 300 real-world recipes from 10 different nations. New realistic graphics and real-time cooking effects lend authenticity to player creations and help budding chefs determine when food is overcooked. Best of all, Cooking Mama: Cook Off offers 2-player kitchen competitions to determine who can cook the best meal the fastest.

Someone cooler than you said:

You cook food for your Nintendogs?

Maybe it will teach me how to cook, instead of making ramen noodles.

There's a DS version, so maybe you can connect the Wii to your DS and share recipes.

I love cooking. Maybe this will be programmable so you can teach other people how to cook your recipe?

This game is based on real life cooking, so if you want to test a new recipe out without making a mess you can do it on this system.

I hope you get to make some nachos with mama.

Couple things to say here. Noah, quit with your comments! Say something positive every once in a while! Cooking, hmm. Another way to bring in non-gamers I bet. But still, (eyebrows go up a couple of feet).

I agree with wii'R'Us. It does look interesting, I will check it out and possibly buy it.

Hmmm if it will teach me how to cook and is only like 20 bucks I will definitely get it. All I can do is boil noodles and cook frozen pizzas :(

Noah said something positive about Medal of Honor though. Baby steps.

I don't care what you guys think, I think Noah of the Nintendo Bunker is a blast. His comments are funny, lighten up guys.

Wow, Noah of nintendo bunker actually has a fan. He know has one more than Tom Arnold.

Avatar

splintercell4ever said:

I think Noah is just the fat kid who hates everybody and is a loner.

ganondorfrules said:

Well Noah has posted in some positive comments alright, though he is an incompetent whelp. But I'd have to agree with him on this, if I wanted to learn how to cook I'd go and learn how off my mum first. And then move onto my mate's mum whos a chef. It's one of my dreams to become a chef, but gaming chefs? No way mate. I also agree with M! NoNB can be funny at times even though his comments are not needed, but maybe this isn't his type of game.

I don't want to cook my mom! (Title: Cooking Mama). Geez, those guys at Taito must be cannibals!

My sister likes to cook so she'll probably get it. There should be a 2 player mode where you can compete on a time limit and compete for best tasting or best looking.

Can we burn ourselves? That would be extremely fun!

Maybe there'll be a wi-fi mode called "iron chef mode" where you get judged by virtual judges and stuff.

The DS version is meant to be rubbish.

FoolKilla said:

Isn't it just cooking and slicing 70 different types of dishes, or was that the DS one?

This is going to be sweet. How much more origanal can the games on Wii get? I got the one on DS and it didn't fail to amuse me.

Scooby!_ Jew said:

If I actually had a lot of money available to me, I'd so get this game. But unfortunately I'm saving up for Need For Speed: Carbon and even then that's taking a while to save up enough money for just that. I don't think I'm going to be getting this game myself, but I do recommend that other cooking-handicapped people try this game out. Sorry if I disappointed anybody.

I like cooking, so this should be fun. Plus it's kind of like trauma center but instead of chopping tumors, you chop lettuce.

A cooking game? Who's going to buy it? Yo mama?!?

Dude I'm going to buy this game. Cooking rox. Half of you are talking about avatar and how it is cool. Screw avatar and all that, this game is realistic!

Avatar

itstimetoplaydawii said:

I think this will go on my definite buy list. This looks like fun even looking at the pictures. It might be a little girly, because it says MAMA; but still it is a DEF buy.

Avatar

itstimetoplaydawii said:

Yeah, I wonder if there are competitions you cook-off for. That would make it a definite buy then.

Crimson Demon said:

This game looks fun, now I can learn how to cook without taking home-ec!

Hey what the heck. It looks kind of fun but maybe a little stupid. I'd wait until the prices die down near 30$ and 40$.

I hope we get to make our own sushi. That would be cool.

This game looks sweet, you can flip a pancake with the remote and then shove it down your throat.

Cooking can be fun. I should know - I make a mean bowl of chili. I love to cook, and using the Wiimote as a knife looks easy enough. I wonder if there's a main enemy, like Bobby Flay or whatever. I think the DS version won first at Q4, the video game convention where they decide which game is best for each console. It won on DS. This was before Wii came out. I've heard rumors that there will in fact be a multiplayer mode. And by rumors I mean true rumors.

Avatar

stinky12694 said:

Robert, my mom dated Bobby Flay and she says she was the better cook (he had connections), but my mom was a chef (that's a good thing when she cooks for you) and I'm going to play 2-player with her.

Bri said:

Well sounds ok, looks too similar to the ds one. But I would buy it! Because I'm in love with cooking mama on my ds.
