The storyline itself is awesome but somehow they messed it up. There is no new merchandise out in stores and you hardly know whether or not that toy your little brother got from that garage sale is anything to do with digimon. Actually pokemon has nothing to do with digimon except for the obvious elements and the "mon" in the names (but what kinda word is digivolve anyway?).

Digimon was cool. At least the first season because unlike pokemon, these kids were dropped into a world that they knew nothing about, so everything that happened to them was unexpected and teamwork played a big role. Oh and digivolve is the combination of digital and evolve, I thought it was kind of smart. If this game has the same feel as the first season, I would play it.

The first Digimon Arena was a really cool fighter with a wide selection of characters (for the time). It also had "great" graphics. I never played the second one, but I heard it wasn't as good. It plays like a mix between DBZ Tenkaichi and Soul Calibur. If this is like that, I would play it.

Digimon was made first (I've done research), they were cool. A fifth season was made in Japan and is coming to America in '07, it is like seasons 1-3 and the game will probably be super-sweet!

I liked the first Digimon World game, never played the second one and the third sucked. I think this game would have great potential if it played like the first game with improvements to graphics, monsters, longer life span and a better camera! Also I'd like to add that although Pokemon was popular in America before Digimon was, Digimon was created far earlier than Pokemon in Japan.

Neither the pokemon or digimon franchises understand how to make a better game. Obviously the first seasons of each were by far the best, but COME ON! Pokemon coliseum and Gale of Darkness were the same stinking pile of crap! And for Digimon, I gave up after Digimon world 2. So Namco, If you can read this, then I have two great words of wisdom. DONT SUCK! Remake the first game that everyone liked, boost the graphics and add a few more monsters and you have made a game that could restore digimon to its once prideful perch of the gaming world!

I looked at the fourth Digimon world and nearly cried. Since when could a Digimon use weapons? But I suppose a lot of games looked strange to start with but ended up pretty sweet. And I haven't given up on Pokemon games! The up-and-coming Diamond and Pearl versions look crazy good and I saw a preview for Pokemon Battle Revolution that completely stunned me. Picture it, a Groudon's Hyper Beam so powerful that it took out Deoxys in one hit and it left a hole in the ground. Anyway, I am just saying that Digimon has gone downhill, trying new ideas when their original idea was the greatest. I still have a copy, but sadly I don't have a system to play it on, so instead of buying a Playstation, I am waiting for a bigger, better version to come out on the Wii. Is that so much to ask for?
